2-3S drive system

The Arrma Typhon is a performance all-rounder and can gradually grow with your driving skills. For starters, you can run the model on a 2S LiPo battery and limit the gas output to 50%. Later you can increase the throttle to 75% and 100% and even connect a 3S LiPo battery to the model and reach a speed of up to 80 km/h.

Driving stabilization (DSC)

An exclusive feature, especially for new drivers, is the dynamic ride stabilization included in the Spektrum control unit. It uses integrated sensors to make steering corrections for easier driving. The intensity of stabilization can be conveniently changed using the transmitter in four modes, from off to a high degree of assistance.

Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz transmitter

The Spektrum SLT3 3-channel transmitter is the perfect size for all drivers. It can help you learn to control the model safely by limiting the model's maximum speed to 50% or 75% until you are ready for full power. The package includes 4 AA batteries for the transmitter.

Electronics Spectrum

Be confident even in wet conditions. The Spektrum electronics including the S662 control unit and servo with metal gears are waterproof*.

Differentials

Heavy-duty metal gear differentials send power from the Spektrum 3100 Kv AC motor to all four wheels. The entire drive system is well protected for reliable performance on any terrain.

Durable chassis

The durability of its composite chassis allows you to confidently send your Typhon into challenging terrain. Taller side covers offer maximum protection from dirt and debris.

Adjustable suspension

Independent suspension and oil-filled shock absorbers absorb bumps smoothly. If your ride takes you to more difficult terrain, you can increase the ride height with spring pads.

Finished bodywork

The durable polycarbonate body is flexible, durable and features eye-catching graphics with a ready-to-spray finish. To access the electronics, the body can be easily dismantled, it is secured by a hidden fastening system without clips.

Recommended LiPo batteries

The model can be operated on a 2- to 3-cell LiPo battery. The accumulator should be fitted with an EC5 or IC5 connector. For normal driving, we recommend a 2-cell LiPo battery (7.4 V).

Spektrum Smart chargers can charge both Smart and Smart G2 batteries as well as conventional batteries. Previously sold Smart chargers also support Smart G2 after updating.

Accessories for normal operation

For the normal operation of RC models, you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone shock oil. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.

Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the shock absorbers of the model and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. Repair kits or individual parts are supplied for these cases. For routine maintenance, screw glue is needed. Screws screwed into the metal material (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Protective covers for accumulators

Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for a long driving time. Conversely, the LiPo battery is especially susceptible to mechanical damage.
