Traxxas DC regulator XL-5 LVD

XL-5 Low Voltage Detection (LVD) r for Traxxas 1:10 scale cars such as Bandit, Monster Jam, Stampede, Slash, and so on. Power 4 to 8 cells or 2 LiPol cells. The controller replaces the original XL-5 line (ie without LVD) that did not support LiPol batteries).

The great advantage of Traxxas controllers is their simple programming, which is the same for all Traxxas controllers. With calibrators, you can calibrate, set the driving mode, and set the type of batteries to NiMH or LiPol with the latest versions. The programming process is displayed by a two-color LED and audible alarm (if the motor is connected).

Calibration of the controller

This is the setting of the neutral position and the extreme position of the gas. Calibration is required when replacing the transmitter or suspecting incorrect controller behavior.

Drive mode

• Sport mode: Full power forward and reverse, brake
• Race mode: full forward and braking, reverse is not available to meet the rules of some races.
• Training mode: 50% power forward controller, 50% reverse power, 100% brake. This mode is suitable for first getting familiar with the model's driving behavior or for children. The model reaches about a third of its maximum speed.

Battery type (only available with LVD controllers)

• NiMH battery: The power of the controller is limited only by the power that can deliver the batteries. In this mode, it is not recommended to use LiPol batteries because they would be too low to destroy them.
• LiPol batteries: LiPol batteries are a modern power source that excels in massive mass-related capacity. With LiPol batteries, it is necessary to ensure that the voltage drops below 3.0V per cell. When the voltage drops to about 3.3V / cell, the controller reduces the controller's power to 50%. When the voltage drops to 3.0 V / cell, the motor will be completely disconnected.
