The silicone tube is temperature resistant up to 180°C. It is resistant to UV radiation, ozone and a number of chemicals – e.g. alkalis and acids (except concentrated nitric acid and sulfuric acid). Silicone cannot be used in contact with acetone, gasoline, toluene, chloroform, isopropyl alcohol. It is suitable for food applications because it does not affect the taste, smell or color of the substance with which it is in contact.
