Bind-N-Fly version

Already own a Spektrum™ RC transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft come ready to fly. Motors with ESC, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver are installed. So all you have to do is pair the receiver in your model with your compatible transmitter, complete the final assembly, and fly (transmitter, battery, and charger sold separately).

Excellent construction

The model is made of strong and very durable EPO material. And in case you damage any parts or components of the airframe and are unable to repair them with glue, a complete range of spare parts is available. The model excels in quiet flight thanks to the wing with a semi-symmetrical profile, the flight is therefore reasonably slow and very stable. The wide 3-wheel chassis has a steerable spur wheel, so take-off and landing are very easy.

Easy access to the battery

The Carbon Cub S 2 comes with complete electronics and drive installed, you only need to add a transmitter, LiPo battery and compatible charger. The battery is stored in the lower part under a plastic cover and is secured with Velcro.

Tundra oversized wheels

The Carbon Cub S 2's large balloon wheels can safely absorb uneven and rough takeoff surfaces that most models of this size would not be able to handle.

Easy assembly

The Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m Cleetus McFarland Special Edition comes largely assembled from the factory with the drive system, servos, controller and receiver installed. All you have to do is pair it with your transmitter and do a quick and easy final assembly without the use of glue or special tools and you will be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery!

Smart technology

The electronics in the model with Spektrum Smart technology send telemetry data to the transmitter. When using the DXS transmitter (not included), the charge level of the drive battery will be displayed using 4 diodes and an audible warning will be given when it is discharged. For complete telemetry, use the Spektrum Smart battery in the model and control it with a Spektrum generation 2 transmitter with display (DX G2 or NX series) (not included).

Beginner Mode

Beginner mode has limited tilt by the elevator and ailerons, when the levers are released to neutral, the model automatically returns to a horizontal position, the engine speed is regulated according to the climb or descent, and there is also assistance during takeoff and landing.

Advanced Mode

Advanced mode allows for greater tilt of the model, but it will not roll over onto its back or fall. Flight positions are limited to approximately 60° of tilt. There is already great freedom of control and minimal flight corrections are made. When flying above 15m, the automatic alignment of the model to a horizontal position after releasing the sticks is not functional.

Expert Mode

In Expert flight mode, control is completely free with no corrections and no flight position restrictions. You can even fly on your back and perform aerobatic maneuvers.

Panic Recovery - Flight Recovery

If you ever lose control of the aircraft in more advanced flight modes, simply press the Panic Recovery button, or switch to Beginner Mode and release the control sticks. SAFE® technology will automatically return the aircraft to level flight.

Optional floats

Floats are an optional feature for converting to a seaplane and flying on the water. Installation takes just minutes and all necessary accessories are included in the set and the float kit (sold separately).

Optional flaps

Functional flaps are an optional feature for short-range takeoff and landing. This feature requires a 7-channel Spektrum programmable transmitter with display, servo (A382 13g MG servo recommended), and extension cables. (Sold separately)

Optional module, LAS landing sensor

The Spektrum LAS Landing Sensor Module is easy to install into your model and can then provide automatic landing assistance. It helps inexperienced pilots land by recognizing height above ground for accurate alignment and minimizing or completely eliminating bounce (works on most surfaces and ensures a safe landing) (sold separately).

AutoLand, assisted landing

Once activated and the button is pressed, the AutoLand assisted landing feature is activated and the Carbon Cub S 2 will land on its own at the initial launch location. You can interrupt the automatic landing at any time by simply pressing the button to avoid obstacles or adjust the direction, or if there is no danger, let the system work to guide the model to a safe landing. As you gain more confidence, you can take more control and eventually learn to land without assistance.

Holding Pattern - circling above the take-off point

This nifty SAFE Plus exclusive feature essentially "pauses" your flight so that when activated and a quick press of a button, the aircraft will automatically return to a position above the GPS home point and circle until the command is canceled. It's a great way to safely hand off control to a friend or regain visual contact if you're out of control and don't know the model's location.

Virtual Fence

It's very easy to let your model fly too far, but with Virtual Fence you don't have to worry anymore because it creates an invisible boundary that your model won't cross. When it reaches this boundary, it automatically turns and flies back, then flaps its wings to let you know that control is back.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of flying RC models you need suitable adhesives, a tool kit and a storage case for LiPol batteries. From our range we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm Allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). For assembly, Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will certainly come in handy, and for cutting, Modelcraft cutting knife with A6 washer.

For quick repairs of aircraft models, we recommend a fast-curing 4-minute Epoxy glue. From our offer, we recommend Speed Epoxy 4 min. 71g

Protective covers for batteries

Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be carefully protected.
