Characteristics
The E-flite micro Draco remote control RC model with a span of 800mm is a smaller version of the two-meter Draco model. Finished painted model with many details, suspension chassis with Tundra wheels, LED lights and powerful 1412-1500Kv AC motor for 4S LiPol batteries. The Draco is an officially licensed model of Draco pilot Mike Patey's aircraft. It is a well-crafted model of a real Bush-type airplane ("wilderness plane") with a special suspension landing gear and a 4-blade propeller.
Mike Patey has designed and built some of the most unique and interesting STOL aircraft and his infectious enthusiasm has inspired many other aviation enthusiasts to develop new similar machines. He started with the Wilga 2000 aircraft, replacing the Lycoming O-540 piston engine with a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-28 turboprop, boasting about twice the power at half the weight. Later, the machine went through many other modifications and became such an original machine that the FAA approved the conversion to an experimental exhibition aircraft. The Micro DRACO 800mm offers the most practical and fun replica yet for intermediate to experienced pilots in every way!
The micro DRACO model is Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) Basic has installed electronics, which is a receiver with servos and controller, AC motor and servo control surfaces. The Spektrum receiver is equipped with high-end DSMX/DSM2 technology, so intermediate to experienced RC pilots can use their own compatible transmitter, a 3S - 4S 300mAh LiPol drive battery and a suitable charger are also required. The Spektrum receiver with integrated controller delivers real-time telemetry data, including total battery voltage, current, engine speed and more, to compatible AirWare™-equipped transmitters. In addition, the receiver features exclusive and expertly tuned AS3X stabilization, so you feel like you're flying a larger model - even in light winds, along with optional SAFE Select flight envelope protection technology that makes it easier for less experienced pilots to fly successfully.
Micro DRACO has finished coloring with attractive decals and the model is ready for final assembly in the set. The model has a one-piece removable wing that can be quickly installed with a single screw. All this contributes to the fact that you can quickly experience great flying with the DRACO model, including unrivaled STOL short take-off and landing, attractive model details and high flight performance!

Skill Level 2 - Requires some experience
Skill level 2 aircraft such as this model are best suited for RC pilots with some experience building, setting up and flying models of a similar class. Although this is the easiest-to-fly DRACO model yet, it is not suitable as a first RC aircraft for novice pilots or as a "step up" model for RC pilots with little flying experience. You should have the experience and skills to successfully fly more powerful models such as the UMX Timber models or larger models such as the Slow Ultra Stick 1.2m, Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m or other models in a similar class .
Bind-N-Fly advantage
Already own a Spektrum transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) model airplanes make it easier than ever to get in the air faster and with the best possible control experience. The model has the motor, servos and Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver with controller installed, so all you have to do is pair the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete final assembly and fly!
Exclusive technology
The E-flite micro Draco is equipped with exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to eliminate the effects of wind and turbulence, providing a locked-in feel that makes you feel like you're flying in a much larger aircraft. Optional use of SAFE Select offers pitch and roll limits and automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off with the flip of a switch! And if you don't want to activate the SAFE Select functions, pair the receiver in the normal way and only the AS3X 3-axis stabilization will be active.
Easy assembly
The Micro DRACO comes almost assembled with the drive, servos and receiver installed. All you have to do is install the one-piece wing with a single screw, which can be quickly and easily removed for more convenient storage and transport, finished coloring with attractive decals. The model is ready for final assembly in the set, thanks to its attractive design you can show it off everywhere you go.
Functional elements
The Micro DRACO is equipped with a number of different functional elements such as flaps, LED lighting and position lights, sophisticated chassis construction, SAFE and AS3X. The details, including surface elements, fences, antennas, skids at the end of the wings, etc., are modeled.
Powerful AC motor
The installed Spektrum 1412-1500Kv AC motor drives the four-blade propeller, LiPol 3S or 4S can be used, with a capacity of 300mAh. Install a 3S battery for practice smooth flying including basic aerobatics or a 4S LiPol battery to give you better vertical and aggressive aerobatic performance without any modifications or upgrades!
Telemetry options
The Micro DRACO 800mm is equipped with a control unit - a flight controller, which includes a controller and a Spektrum receiver, which during flight provides real-time telemetry data, such as flight battery voltage, current consumption, engine speed and more, to compatible transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare.
Chassis with big wheels
Oversized Tundra-style tires on a sprung main chassis with simulated KING shocks absorb bumps and provide excellent shock absorption. They allow taxiing, takeoff and landing on a variety of surfaces that most models of this size cannot handle - from the grassy surfaces of many parks and sports fields to gravel roads and paved surfaces.
Durable construction
The rigid EPS foam construction provides a lightweight yet durable airframe that is also easily repairable with styrofoam, epoxy, and more. If you damage any part of the airframe and are unable to repair it, there are a number of replacement parts available.
Original appearance
Anyone who meets this machine for the first time will be impressed by the timeless design and unconventional concept. The aircraft is based on the Wilga 2000 aircraft, but during the conversion to an extreme special in the STOL style, the structure, engine and appearance were changed, so that it was certified as a new aircraft. The performance and capabilities of the aircraft are astounding, as is the micro Draco model.
Tail surfaces
Even with such a small model, it is possible to model the surface with sheet moldings like that of a real plane. In addition, there is a position light on the rudder, special aerodynamic elements on the rudders, an antenna, a spur and more.
Special suspension
As on the larger 2m model Draco, the suspension design is also used here with two model shock absorbers with a free wheel axis, which is suspended by torsion steel springs. Light big wheels in the style of Tundra can handle even the worse quality of the airport surface.
Wing details
As on the tail surfaces, the wing is equipped with moldings, position lights, various mock-up protrusions and four servos controlling the ailerons and flaps. The inscriptions and graphic elements of the decals complete the great look.
