RC model of the versatile thermal or slope glider Sapphire 2.9m PNP. Laminate fuselage, the wing has a Styrocore foam core, Abachi veneer cover with a layer of glass cloth and Oracover foil. Sandwich beam with carbon reinforcement. PNP version with motor, servos including cables, aluminum cone and tilting propeller.
Sapphire from Robbe is equipped with the HQ / W-2.5 / 9 profile, which allows you to use a large envelope speed. Thanks to its low weight, it is possible to fly both at high jump speeds and slowly circle in thermals. To do this, you can use the options of the wing flaps and program a transmitter for different flight modes. Landing on large flaps is safe even in the field.
A powerful Ro-Power Torque 3526-870 AC motor with a 13 X 7 “Carbon Prop tilting propeller and a 38 mm propeller cone is installed and is optimized for propulsion with a LiPol 4S battery. Robbe FS-277 digital servos with ball bearings and a metal gearbox (PNP) are installed. 6-pin MPX connectors are installed to connect the wing and fuselage. There is no regulator in the package, it is recommended to add an alternating min. 80A.
The hull is laminate painted, with reinforcements in the exposed parts and glued wooden structure. The wing with a foam core is covered with abachi veneer, reinforced with a thin glass cloth and Oracover® foil. The color design of the model is fresh and modern and consists of neon colors for exceptional visibility in the sky in all positions. This gives the pilot confidence and a sense of security when flying with the Sapphire glider. A well-chosen profile ensures stable flight even at high speeds, but also allows you to fly relatively slowly, especially when using flaps. Landing is easy thanks to the great flight characteristics of the model
The Sapphire PNP version is pre-processed to the maximum extent, a motor with an aluminum cone and a carbon propeller is ready, and servos with cabling are installed. You insert your receiver and controller with the battery. It only takes you one afternoon to prepare for the flight. Controlled functions are engine, elevator, rudder, ailerons, flaps. You program the transmitter and you can go flying.
