The SAVAGE Mini is a high-performance 3D park-fly aerobatic special made of EPP foam designed to be driven by 200-300 W AC electric motors. A few hours with instant glue in hand is all it takes to complete this model, capable of flying the turns of the classic F3A assembly, as well as hanging on the propeller and perform all other 3D stunts! It is also intended for less experienced pilots; with minor deviations, it can be flown by anyone who already has at least some experience with acrobatics and is able to reliably fly flips, headwinds and twists with the previous model. Due to the light weight of the model, a possible crash due to "hand entanglement" does not hurt too much - and the EPP parts are so easy to repair!
The one-piece wing with large wings has a symmetrical profile, its strength is provided by carbon beams and, of course, there are prepared shafts for servos. The fuselage is profiled with a horizontal section thoroughly reinforced with carbon flanges and a vertical section with a large side area (together with SFG winglets on the wing) for perfect behavior in knife flight. The well-thought-out design includes a plywood engine bed anchored to the hull using carbon flanges. Elevator and rudder servo shafts are prepared in the fuselage. The tail surfaces are also made of EPP. The ailerons, rudder and elevator are controlled by short straight carbon rods. The main chassis is carbon with two lightweight wheels and EPP covers; 4 screws are attached to the support plate anchored to the hull with 3D printed plastic holders.
To control the model, you will need at least a four-channel RC kit, which should at least have the ability to set double and exponential deflections.
For undemanding recreational flying, ordinary analog microservos with metal gears such as KAVAN GO-13MG, Hitec HS-65MG, etc. are suitable. If you are serious about acrobatics, you should use strong and fast digital servos with metal gears, such as KAVAN GO-1013MG, Hitec HS-5065MG etc.
For propulsion, we recommend a KAVAN C2830-1300 AC electric motor, Model Motors AXI 2212/20 V2 or similar with an APC 10x4.7SF propeller when powered from a 3S LiPo battery.
The speed controller should have a load capacity of at least 30 A, and especially if you use strong and fast digital servos, it should have a powerful switching BEC power stabilizer such as the KAVAN PRO-30SB.
A three LiPo battery 1200-1300 mAh with a load capacity of at least 40C is suitable for power supply.
The SAVAGE Mini was designed and manufactured in the Czech Republic.
The kit includes: printed parts of the fuselage, wings, tail surfaces and chassis covers cut from EPP foam, plywood engine bed, 3D printed plastic parts, carbon struts, levers, forks, tie rods and other small accessories, carbon chassis with light wheels, detailed picture instructions to construction.
