Original information:
Good mobility is needed on a modern battlefield. The British army therefore greatly appreciated the M7 Priest built on the chassis of the M3 Lee tank, thanks to which it received an effective, fully armored self-propelled gun. These vehicles, delivered through a loan and lease agreement, first used American cannons and ammunition, but this caused some problems for British operators. The British army renamed the M7 "Priest" or "Priest" due to a defensive firing position with a machine gun resembling a pulpit in a church.
