Original information:
Opel Blitz was the main truck of the German army in World War II. He moved in huge numbers on all fronts and was quite aptly referred to as the "draft horse" of the Wehrmacht. Thanks to its sturdy frame, robust system of fixed axles with leaf springs and rear double axle, Blitz was able to carry more than 3 tons of cargo. The 3,600 cc engine was easy to maintain and had 75 horsepower. The most popular was the 4x2 variant with rear-wheel drive. But there was also a 4x4 version that operated in Russia and the North African deserts. Due to its flexibility and wide cargo space, the Opel Blitz was also used in additional roles, such as a mobile command post equipped with a radio station to control units on the battlefield.
