iSDT charger Air 8

ISDT Air 8 500W miniature charger is a powerful intelligent charger with power supply from a car battery or a stabilized network source and very simple and clear operation. Air 8 allows you to charge and discharge common types of cells (NiCd, NiMH, LiPo, LiHV, ULiHV, Li-ion, LiFe, Pb), in addition, it is equipped with a built-in eight-channel balancer, which ensure safe charging of lithium batteries. The charger is equipped with a color LCD display and touch programming buttons, which will provide you with the possibility of comfortable and very clear parameter setting, control and monitoring of the progress of charging/discharging.

In addition to miniature dimensions with high performance and intuitive operation, it is worth special mention:

• program for new types of "high voltage" lithium batteries LiHV with terminal voltage for charging up to 4.35 V and ULiHV with terminal voltage 4.45 V
• powerful balancer with a current of up to 1.5 A
• adjustable terminal voltage for charging and discharging for lithium batteries (allows gentler charging, which aviators like, or, on the contrary, brutal overcharging, which "car enthusiasts")
• adjustable terminal charging voltage for lead-acid batteries (2.00-2.45 V; enables charging of all types of lead-acid batteries)
• the ability to communicate and start charging/discharging without the need to set up the charger in cooperation with iSDT Smart modules for batteries (they store battery data and preset parameters for charging with the help of the BattAir application) connected via Bluetooth; the charger can work independently with the battery with a preset Smart module or under the "supervision" of a smartphone with the BattAir application (Android and iOS)

Overview of basic functions and parameters

• Power supply 10-34 V DC (XT60 socket)
• For charging and discharging 1 – 16 NiCd/NiMH cells, 1 – 8 Li-ion/Li-poly/Li-Fe/LiHV/ULiHV cells or 2- 24 V lead-acid batteries
• Adjustable charging current 0.1 A – 20.0 A (max. 500 W) - for full use of power the charger must have a power source with a voltage of at least 30 V
• Adjustable discharge current 0.1 A - 1.5 A (max. 15 W)
• Termination of charging using automatic delta-peak for NiCd and NiMH accumulators
• Lithium and Pb batteries are charged using the "constant current/constant voltage" method
• Adjustable delta-peak detection sensitivity for NiCd and NiMH batteries
• Adjustable terminal voltage for charging and discharging for lithium and lead-acid batteries
• Three modes for lithium batteries - charge, discharge and storage charge/discharge; all with or without a balancer. And on top of that, a disposal discharge mode for safe discharge of a discarded battery before it is handed over for recycling
• The charger can work as a stabilized source with an adjustable voltage of 2-30 V and a current of 0.5-10.0 A
• Easy firmware update via micro USB port
• Backlit color LCD display with simple and clear menu and displaying parameters during charging/discharging
• Programmable touch buttons for easy and clear setting and control of the charger
• A number of warning messages contribute to safe operation – incorrect input voltage, wrong connection, unsuitable battery or its condition, incorrect output polarity etc.

The charger is equipped with an XT60 output socket and a universal socket for service connectors JST-XH allowing direct connection of battery power cables and JST-XH service connectors 2-8S sets - if you use sets with XT60 and JST-XH connectors, you can do without charging cables and adapters. You can use standard Sky RC or RC System adapters to connect the service connectors of other systems .
