2-3S propulsion system

The Arrma Typhon Grom 223S BLX is a versatile model that can grow with your driving skills. To start, you can run the model on the included 2S LiPo battery and limit the throttle to 50%. Later, you can increase the throttle to 75% and 100% and even connect a separately sold 3S LiPo battery to the model and reach speeds of up to 80 km/h.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)

An exclusive feature, especially for new riders, is the dynamic ride stabilization included in the Spektrum control unit. It uses integrated sensors to make steering corrections for easier steering. The stabilization intensity can be conveniently changed via the transmitter in four modes, from off to high assistance.

Installed upgrades

For durability and increased performance, the model comes with factory-installed upgrades - full metal differentials (ARA311193), steel half-axles (ARA311198), aluminum oil dampers (ARA-1560) and aluminum adjustable steering links (ARA340208). Despite these improvements, the model remains affordable.

Great looking buggy

Right out of the box, you will be dazzled by the model's shape and buggy-type bodywork, professionally finished from the factory and in striking color variations that capture the unmistakable look of the original ARRMA TYPHON.

Stapleless bodywork

The body is easily, quickly and securely snapped onto the chassis. There are no clips to insert into holes and damage the body during operation. This is a fastening system that can be easily mastered by all ages. The drivetrain transfers power to durable dBoots 2-HO wheels and tires. Just like the large model, the proven tire compound and pattern are used here.

Drivetrain

In the central part of the chassis is the center shaft that connects the front and rear differentials. This has a direct drive from the AC motor via a pinion and main gear. At the end of the center shaft are metal bevel gears for the differentials. The entire drive train is well protected for reliable performance even in difficult terrain.

Driving a car

For reliable steering, a Spektrum™ SX110 servo with metal gears is installed, which ensures high resistance even in the event of a crash.

Car powertrain

On the right side of the chassis is the power unit, consisting of a Firma 2838 4500Kv motor with a massive radiator and an integrated 25A controller with receiver. A fan has been newly placed between the components for even more efficient cooling.

Oil shock absorbers

For brutal riding over obstacles, jumps and large bumps, the model is equipped with high-quality shock absorbers with durable aluminum bodies and oil-filled shock absorbers that prevent oscillation on bumps.

SMART charging

The Spektrum Smart 2S LiPo battery with IC2 connectors has the capacity to last a long time. When it's time to recharge, simply plug it into the convenient Spektrum Smart G2 S10 USB-C charger. Safe charging starts automatically and takes about an hour.

Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz transmitter

The Spektrum SLT2 2-channel transmitter is the perfect size for any pilot. It can help you learn to fly your model safely by limiting your model's maximum speed to 50% or 75% until you are ready for full power. 4 AA batteries are included for the transmitter.

USB source

We recommend a powerful 65W USB-C power adapter to power the USB-C charger. With this power supply, you will achieve significantly shorter charging times compared to classic 5V USB sources (such as phone chargers).

Recommended batteries

The model can be powered by a LiPo battery with two (7.4 V) or three cells (11.1 V).

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of RC models you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone oil for shock absorbers. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.

Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the glue is flexible after hardening. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.

Occasionally, it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is poor, the oil leak can be large. Repair kits or individual parts are available for these cases. Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into metal materials (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long driving times. On the other hand, LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
