Pz.Kpfw. VI "Tiger" number 114, located in the Musée des Blindés in Saumur, France, is one of the most valuable exhibits of this museum. Tiger tanks were among the most famous and dangerous armored vehicles used by Germany during World War II. They were known for their powerful armament, especially the 88mm cannon, and their strong, well-sloped armor shield. This particular specimen, marked with the number 114, is one of the few preserved in the world, which makes it extremely valuable both historically and technologically. This tank participated in the fighting on the Eastern Front and was later captured by the Allied forces. It is carefully preserved in the museum in Saumur and visitors can admire it in one of the hangars, where other historical armored vehicles are also exhibited.

This Tiger has a completely new camouflage that will please every fan of Panzerwaffe. Why? It is universal, so it fits perfectly into the reality of the 1944 front in the East, West and South. The new tank has an improved chassis and running gear. It is not only about new wheels, designed specifically for this set, but also about the replacement of torsion bars, which are now more durable and correspond to the weight of this giant. We have also introduced a lot of small and large changes characteristic of the late E version. The best example is the change of the commander's hatch. It is smaller and on its side is the MG34 machine gun, designed for anti-aircraft missiles.

With 8,000 elements and considerable dimensions, this set is number one in its class. When assembled, the Tiger 114 is 71 cm long and weighs almost 10 kilograms. But this impressive result is not all. A new standard is set by a meticulously reproduced interior, an excellent exterior, completely new parts and great functionality. The interior of the tank is meticulously reproduced, from the ammunition compartment to the main gun, buttons, switches and even the incredibly photorealistic engine. The Maybach HL230 engine itself has been reproduced in the smallest detail from 300 parts and could be released as a separate set. Just remember that some aircraft from the Historical Collection series have 300 parts, and in our new Tiger you only build the engine from so many bricks! The exterior also raises the bar in terms of accuracy of proportions and detail, which only a model of this size can provide. The model also has many completely new and movable elements. These include a rotating turret, movable gun and opening hatches. The wheels and tracks work exactly like in the real museum model! Although we have done similar things at COBI for other tanks (especially in 1:28 scale), the Tiger "114" along with its predecessor with the number "131" represents a new level of design, photorealism and impressive size and accuracy.

Needless to say, this is another milestone for us at COBI. The set we are pleased to present was developed in collaboration with the Musée des Blindés in Saumur, France. We hope that collectors and COBI fans will have as much fun building and displaying the “114” model as we had designing it. For all those who love tanks, military equipment and history, this is an opportunity to bring home a BIG piece of military tradition. Create history, brick by brick.
