Build a 1:32 scale model of the Horten Ho 229 - a futuristic WWII aircraft! Build this innovative aircraft step by step and admire every detail that makes it one of the most amazing aircraft in aviation history.

The Horten Ho 229, also known as the Gotha Go 229, was a German experimental jet aircraft that was intended to change the rules of aerial combat. Developed during World War II, as Germany sought to turn the tide of the conflict in its favor, the aircraft was one of the “Wunderwaffe” (miracle weapons). Developed by brothers Walter and Reimar Horten, the design featured a unique flying wing design that made the Ho 229 one of the first examples of stealth aircraft – difficult to detect by radar. Towards the end of the war, American intelligence captured two examples of the aircraft – one in the process of being assembled (Ho 229 V3) and an older model, the Horten Ho IX V1 unpowered glider. In 2008–2009, Northrop Grumman carried out a complete reconstruction of the aircraft. Although this version was unable to fly, electromagnetic studies showed that in 1945 the aircraft could be detected by British radar at a distance of 130 km, which was about 80% of the detection range of the Bf-110 fighter. Although World War II ended before the Horten Ho 229 design was fully developed, the aircraft will forever remain one of the most fascinating and mysterious chapters in aviation history.
