Build a model of the battleship Yamato from World War II, serving in the Imperial Japanese Navy. It is the first Yamato-class warship, which, along with its twin Musashi, was the largest battleship in human history. The main idea of building such powerful warships was arms races with the United States, which ruled the Pacific. Construction of Yamato began in 1937 and entered service on December 16, 1941, a week after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The ship was armed, among other things, with nine monstrous 460 mm cannons. Its total length was 263 m, width 38.9 m, draft 11 m and displacement 65,000 tons. It reached a maximum speed of 27 knots (50 km / h). Almost 2,500 people served on the ship. It was sunk in a great battle on April 7, 1945 by American torpedo planes and bombers. The model is in 1: 300 scale and will take you approximately 8 hours to build. The assembled model measures 90 cm in length and 19.5 cm in height. The package contains 2,665 building blocks. Does not contain figures.
