When it was launched in 1918, it was the largest warship in the world. It was the great pride of the British Royal Navy. However, in May 1941, she was tasked with stopping the German Bismarck. After establishing a connection with this German battleship, Hood launched fire with HMS Prince of Wales. But Bismarck returned it and, with a fifth volley, gave Hoda a fatal hit, after which he sank in just two minutes. Only three men from the entire crew of 1500 survived.
