At the time of Operation Barbarossa, most modern heavy trucks of the German Wehrmacht were manufactured under the "Schnell-Programm" mode. These vehicles had sufficient riding characteristics for the roads in Central Europe, but the muddy and muddy surfaces in Russia were not enough. Even a 4.5-tonne L-4500A four-wheel drive truck in Russia has not survived. That's why the L4500R - Maultier half-track car was developed, which was pulled by Panzer II. In total, 1486 of these trucks were produced.
