GERMAN HEAVY CAR WAGON L 4500 A
The heavy-duty, 4.5-ton truck L4500A, originally designed for civilian use, was used extensively by all German military units on both the West and the Eastern Front in World War II. Between 1939 and 1944, a total of 9500 trucks were produced, most of them traveling to the Wehrmacht. The L4500 had a diesel engine of 7.2 liters delivering 112 horsepower and was manufactured in two basic versions, one axle drive called "S" and two-axle drive called "A".
