CUMUL DLG easily fulfills the dream of a compact model, with which you can run out of the threshing floor at any time to any larger patch and have a good time. In addition, this RC handball for starting with a circle throw or a rubber band will make you move your body as well - because a properly executed discus throw is quite a sporting feat!
The small RC handball is also ideal for anyone who wants to build models themselves, the classic way out of balsa, plywood, spruce beams and a pinch of carbon. Construction is going pretty fast and there isn't much of it. The CUMUL DLG is a fairly simple model in terms of construction; it may not be suitable as a very first model for someone without any previous experience, but if you've already built "at least something structural" you shouldn't have any problems. Likewise, you shouldn't have any trouble mastering the disc start once you've finished CUMUL DLG - we didn't forget to add a pictorial attachment to the tutorial detailing how to do the circular roll.

The kit of a high-performance RC handball of a classic very light all-balsa construction in bulk is an ideal project for modelers who want to build a really powerful model for recreational flying. Thanks to a well-thought-out design with CNC-carved parts equipped with protrusions and notches that fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, construction is very quick and easy. In addition, the ribs and half-ribs are equipped with mounting protrusions, which allow you to build a wing with an arched profile on a flat board and at the same time to "build" the negatives directly into the structure at both ends of the wing.
The forward part of the hull consists of a nacelle made of balsa and light plywood; its core consists of a simple "box" structure with balsa sides and plywood partitions. The space for the rudder and elevator servos is located in the fuselage under a removable side cover with a magnetic closure. The tail part of the fuselage consists of a carbon tube beam with a glued-on plywood pylon for fixing the horizontal tail surface. The kit also includes a towing hook for launching with a catapult.
The one-piece wing with the YA0801 profile (specially developed for RC handballs) is now a classic design with balsa ribs, the main spar made of thin-walled carbon tube and the leading bar made of beech logs, which guarantees high strength of the frame at a very low weight. The wing is attached to the fuselage with a plastic screw. The design of the wing provides for the possibility of placing a disc start pin in the properly reinforced left (for right-handed) and right end of the wing (for left-handed).
The tail surfaces are board, glued from CNC carved balsa parts. The rudders are controlled by wire ropes.
You can cover the model with an iron-on film - the lighter transparent film Oralite®, Vlies or similar materials are preferred.
You will need at least a two-channel RC kit to control the model. A good 6 g picoservo with a pull of 0.7-0.9 kg.cm will do for the rudder and elevator - the kit includes a servo bed "tailored" for KAVAN GO-6MG servos.
A 450-500 mAh LiPo single cell is ideal for powering the on-board electronics.
