Like its bigger sibling in the X-series™, the Mini XRT has been designed with maximum speed, handling and performance in mind. With a low and extra wide seat, it offers great stability and confidence while effortlessly reaching top speeds. It's a whole new way to have a big dose of fun in a compact package.

VXL-3S drive from larger models

The Velineon VXL-3s brushless drive system is at the heart of Traxxas' fastest and most powerful 1:10 scale vehicles. For the first time ever, this extreme drive is installed in a compact small platform. The result is amazing acceleration, speeds up to 90 km/h and consistent power at any rpm.

1:10 scale 4WD drive

The Mini XRT is built to the standards of the larger models. Large differentials with steel gears, massive 32DP gearing and high-performance cardan drive shafts far exceed the requirements for strength and provide long service life.

Maxx chassis design

The robust chassis design retains the proven three-dimensional composite extrusion construction with hexagonal elements and integrated shock towers. The chassis is always designed for maximum strength, and the Mini XRT packs it all into an extremely compact design.

Stapleless bodywork

The innovative clipless body mounting system is durable with internal reinforcements and easy to use. Simply place the body on the chassis and snap it in. When it's time to change the battery, press the latches in the wheel arches and lift it up to get inside the model in seconds.

WideMaxx suspension

The Mini XRT uses proven WideMaxx® suspension with extended track. The low and wide stance allows it to handle tight turns with confidence and stability, even at high speeds. The long-travel shocks provide smooth suspension and control on the road, off-road and in the skatepark.

Modular construction

The modular design allows for the complete removal of the front or rear section. In a few minutes you have full access to easy service and adjustment of the model. The modularity of the car chassis significantly simplifies maintenance, making it much easier to access the differentials, etc.

Sliding plates

The underside of the chassis is protected by skid plates that can be easily replaced if damaged. The plates protect important drive components from damage while complementing the clean lines of the chassis, which will not get caught on obstacles.

Precise proportional control

The front wheel steering mechanism is implemented using a Dual-Bell-Crank system, which ensures precise operation of the linkages to the wheels and reduces the bump steering effect. The steering has an integrated cam servo-saver that absorbs shocks and protects the servo against overload. For long service life, a standard-sized metal-geared servo from 1:10 models is used.

Battery compartment

The battery is housed deep in the chassis for a low center of gravity and maximum protection. A latch system ensures easy and quick battery installation and removal.

Oil shock absorbers

The 1:10 high-travel oil shocks use dual X-rings for a perfect seal and smooth operation. The robust design combined with a high oil volume can absorb even hard impacts in rough terrain. You can tune the shocks to your liking by adjusting the springs and changing the viscosity of the shock oil.

Waterproof* construction

The model uses a number of patented solutions that reduce the risk of water ingress to the electronics, such as a servo box seal or epoxy-encapsulated controller electronics. This gives you the confidence to go for a ride regardless of the weather.

WideMaxx suspension arms

WideMaxx suspension arms add 20mm of width to the XRT for stability. The double wishbone suspension design maintains proper geometry throughout the entire range of motion. The arms are designed to Maxx standards with more material in exposed areas.

Body bracket

The body is held firmly in place by a bracket that is part of the RC model's chassis. Even if the model is in somersaults, the body will not come loose from the model.

Inter-tooth clearance

A solid motor mounting system with pre-drilled holes according to the gear ratio eliminates the need to worry about setting the correct gear clearance. The gears always fit together precisely for maximum efficiency and long service life.

Robust gear teeth

The 32DP gear module is commonly used on larger models, providing individual teeth large enough and durable enough to handle the power of the Velineon motor and VXL ESC with 3S LiPo power.

Center differential

The sealed center differential absorbs engine shocks and allows for fine-tuning of settings by changing the oil viscosity. It is factory-filled with thick oil, which reduces front axle drag and ensures stable power transfer.

Planetary differentials

The 4WD system distributes power to each wheel using front and rear planetary differentials. The differentials are twice as large as those in 1:16 models. Silicone seals and X-rings allow for fine-tuning of the degree of adhesion using silicone oils of varying viscosity.

Drive shafts

The drive shafts used in the Mini XRT RC car model are 50% larger than standard 1:16 models. The cardan joints and telescopic bodies are reinforced for quick starts and sharp braking.

Ball bearings

Large ball bearings are used throughout the drive system for smooth operation. The bearings are equipped with a plastic cover to minimize dirt entry. This solution extends the life of the model and simplifies maintenance.

Gravix tires

Gravix tires have a hybrid design with quiet operation and densely arranged tread sipes. They provide excellent grip on hard surfaces and gravel! The 2.6" dual-profile rims feature a 12mm hexagonal carrier.

Wheelie wheels

Due to the enormous power of the drive system, the model is equipped with the necessary Wheelie bar with wheels that allow driving on the rear wheels and protect the model against frequent overturning.

Power steering

The model is controlled by a Traxxas 2075X high-torque digital servo, with a torque of 9 kg.cm. The servo is equipped with two ball bearings on a milled shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. Waterproof* construction.

Powerful brushless motor

The Velineon 550 brushless motor is precisely tuned for use in 1:10 RC cars. It provides model cars with the perfect balance between power and optimal efficiency. Another advantage is the high service life, which is determined only by ball bearings. The bearings can be purchased as part of the service kit under the order number TRA3352R.

The motor is a 550 series, has a 4-pole design, which provides up to twice the torque compared to the 2-pole version. The rotor is dynamically balanced and wrapped in Kevlar fabric for increased strength.

Electronic controller VXL-3S

Waterproof* electronic Traxxas Velineon VXL-3S V2 brushless controller with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set™ button. The VXL-3S controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually get acquainted with the characteristics of the model and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors, simple operation and intuitive signaling with a two-color LED.

VXL-3S controller modes

• Sport : Default mode, forward driving, braking and reverse driving are possible.
  
• Race : A mode suitable for racing. Forward and brake are possible; reverse is not available.
  
• Training : A mode suitable for children or novice riders. Forward travel is possible with a power limit of 50%, braking and reverse travel again with a power limit of 50%.
  

The controller cooler can be supplemented with an optional fan (not included in the package).

Traxxas TQi RC kit with Bluetooth ready

Traxxas has prepared a completely new line of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth module (sold separately) allows you to connect the RC model to the clear graphical Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your Smartphone for free.

The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore , and the app for Google Android devices is available for free on GooglePlay .

The Traxxas Link App is a powerful app that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute precision settings. Traxxas Link can display telemetry data that the model provides in real time, such as speed, RPM, temperature, battery voltage and tilt of the model. (The telemetry provided varies by specific model type). You can share RC model settings, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or user, such as children. All in an app with brilliant graphics, which is a given from Traxxas.

Traxxas TQi receiver

RC receiver Traxxas TQi 5-channel TSM with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters. Easy to use, pairing with a button. Status indication by LED. The receiver has integrated 3-axis MEMS sensors for learning the receiver's position.

The 5-channel receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting RPM (speed) and V/T (voltage/temperature) telemetry sensors.

Furthermore, a telemetry expansion module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 additional sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.

Traxxas Stability Management

Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) not only allows you to experience power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speeds, but also ensures much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.

The receiver contains a MEMS 3-axis gyro and an accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model 100 times per second and corrects the direction of the model by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit the engine power - you have 100% control over the engine power. The algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter or in the Traxxas Link application.

Recommended power for USB-C charger

Powering the USB-C charger from the mains requires a USB adapter and a USB-C cable for connection (adapter and cable are not included in the package). To use maximum charging power, it is necessary to choose sufficiently dimensioned components. We recommend:

LED lighting

The model can be equipped with an optional lighting kit that will perfectly illuminate the road and give your model a unique look. The kit includes a front bumper and roof panel with white and red LEDs. Plus a 3V power supply. The kit can also be equipped with designer sill lighting in various colors.

Wireless connection to your phone

By adding a Bluetooth module to the transmitter, you get the function of wirelessly connecting the RC model to the Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your phone for free. We recommend a phone holder to attach your phone to the transmitter.

Controller fan

To ensure that your controller remains at an optimal operating temperature even on hot days during intensive driving, you can install a fan on the controller.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of your Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, quality tire glue, silicone shock absorber oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable car tool set from our range.

Screw glue is applied to the thread or head of the screw, which fixes it and prevents the vibrations caused by driving from loosening the screw connection. Screw glue has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an appropriate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary superglue, a screw glued in this way may be impossible to loosen at all!

Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the wheel. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the glue is flexible after hardening. Never use ordinary superglue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leak can be large. So-called repair kits are available for these cases. The tuning parts offer includes piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating for all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN coating can be easily recognized by their golden-green color.
