Characteristics

The Arrma Vorteks 223S BLX Truggy RC car model with 4WD drive, independent suspension, oil shock absorbers and a powerful AC drive, reaches speeds of up to 80 km/h. All this at an affordable price for such a powerful model. Excellent driving characteristics are ensured by all-wheel drive with center and axle differentials. The exclusive DSC ride stabilization is included. The RC car is designed for children, adults, beginners and experienced drivers, who will get a ready-made, durable and fast model. All this is packed into a nicely crafted body with a hidden clipless mounting system.

Thanks to the brushless drive being rated for 2-3S LiPo, you can initially drive with a 2S LiPo battery (sold separately) for speeds of up to 56 km/h, and once your driving skills improve, you can also connect a 3S LiPo battery (sold separately) to the model and increase the power and speed to an extreme 80 km/h. The control unit includes a special DSC electronic stability control function, which automatically makes steering corrections for smooth driving in skids, easier steering at higher speeds and on less grippy surfaces. DSC stabilization has 4 modes, including the option to turn it off. Another function is the ability to limit the throttle to 75% or 50%, making the model suitable even for complete beginners.

The proven durable ARRMA® 4X4 platform allows you to drive at high speeds in almost any environment - off-road, on gravel and grass, in parking lots and on paved and asphalt surfaces. The chassis durability comes from a strong composite chassis, with extended height of the dirt guards. The metal gears used are durable enough for AC drive. Power is distributed to individual wheels using the front and rear differential. Maximum traction is provided by proven dBoots tires. The Spektrum SLT transmitter provides safe operation without failures, for a carefree ride, the model uses waterproof* components - the Spektrum 2-in-1 85A controller with receiver and Spektrum S662 servo with high torque and metal gears.

2-3S propulsion system

The Arrma Vorteks is a versatile model and can grow with your driving skills. To start, you can run the model on a 2S LiPo battery and limit the throttle to 50%. Later, you can increase the throttle to 75% and 100% and even connect a 3S LiPo battery to the model and reach speeds of up to 80 km/h.

Dynamic Stability Control (DSC)

An exclusive feature, especially for new riders, is the dynamic ride stabilization included in the Spektrum control unit. It uses integrated sensors to make steering corrections for easier steering. The stabilization intensity can be conveniently changed via the transmitter in four modes, from off to high assistance.

Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz transmitter

The Spektrum SLT3 3-channel transmitter is the perfect size for any pilot. It can help you learn to fly your model safely by limiting your model's maximum speed to 50% or 75% until you are ready for full power. 4 AA batteries are included for the transmitter.

Electronics Spectrum

Don't worry about wet conditions. The Spektrum electronics, including the control unit and S662 metal-geared servo, are waterproof*.

Differentials

Durable metal-geared differentials send power from the Spektrum 3100 Kv brushless motor to all four wheels. The entire drive system is well protected for reliable performance on any terrain.

Durable chassis

The durability of its composite chassis allows you to confidently send your Vorteks into challenging terrain. The higher side covers offer maximum protection from dirt and debris.

Adjustable suspension

Independent suspension and oil-filled shock absorbers absorb bumps smoothly. If your ride takes you into rougher terrain, you can increase ground clearance with spring pads.

Finished bodywork

The durable polycarbonate body is flexible, durable and features eye-catching pre-sprayed graphics. The body can be easily removed to access the electronics, secured with a hidden, clip-free mounting system.

We recommend buying

To put the model into operation, you need to purchase a drive battery and an adequate drive battery charger.

Recommended LiPo batteries

The model can be operated with a 2 to 3 cell LiPo battery. The battery should be fitted with an EC5 or IC5 connector. For normal driving we recommend a 2 cell LiPo battery (7.4 V).

For normal driving, a Spektrum 7.4 V 5000 mAh LiPo battery with Smart technology or a Spektrum G2 7.4 V 5000 mAh with Smart G2 technology.
For maximum possible LiPo speed, use the Spektrum LiPo 11.1 V 5000 mAh battery with Smart technology, or the Spektrum G2 LiPo 11.1 V 5000 mAh with Smart G2 technology.

Spektrum batteries with Smart technology currently represent the most modern and safest way to maintain and charge batteries. You can find the benefits of Spektrum Smart technology here.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. G2 batteries also have up to 3x faster automatic discharge to storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged with Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

Recommended chargers for conventional and Smart batteries

Spektrum Smart chargers can charge both Smart and Smart G2 batteries, as well as conventional batteries. Previously sold Smart chargers will also support Smart G2 after an update.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of RC models you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone oil for shock absorbers. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.

Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the glue is flexible after hardening. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.

Occasionally, it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is poor, the oil leak can be large. Repair kits or individual parts are available for these cases. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR (Team Losi Racing) silicone oils, see recommended accessories.

Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into metal materials (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long driving times. On the other hand, LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
