Original information:

The Mercedes-Benz SK series (Schwere Klasse), which marked the heavy vehicles on Mercedes's range, was manufactured by the famous German carmaker in the late 1980s. The SK series developed directly from the earlier Mercedes NG series, compared to which it received an improved cabin, which was more suitable for long journeys. On-board comfort has also been increased thanks to newer technical and electronic solutions. In addition, the vehicle's design has been significantly redesigned compared to the previous series to meet the aesthetic standards of the automotive industry of the period. The car was characterized by reliability, robustness and operational flexibility in a variety of environments. Its longevity in the market was reflected in its long-term business success. It was not until the end of the 1990s that the SK series was replaced by the first versions of the new Mercedes Actros.
