The TRAXXAS Nitro Slash RC car with a powerful TRX 3.3 combustion engine can easily give the model a speed of up to 80 km/h. Enjoy a pure ride with a Nitro combustion engine! The durable and proven chassis of the Slash model guarantees excellent driving characteristics. Perfect control even at higher speeds is ensured by the two-channel RC kit in the 2.4 GHz band with TSM electronic stabilization.
RC Nitro Slash is built on a proven space chassis. The lower part of the chassis is made of 2.5 mm thick blue anodized duralumin sheet. The engine is screwed onto an adjustable CNC aluminum bed, which allows its longitudinal and transverse movement. The aluminum chassis also effectively dissipates heat from the combustion engine through the aluminum bed. In case of using a different gear ratio, you can simply move the engine on the adjustable bed. The engine is equipped with a centrifugal drum clutch with a pinion. The upper part of the chassis is made of a space nylon molding, which is filled with carbon fibers for greater rigidity and toughness. The boxes for electronics, servo beds and fuel tanks are placed on the nylon molding. The purposeful use of metal parts guarantees a light and strong chassis structure.
The oil shocks use X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super smooth operation. They are fully adjustable with a wide range of oils, springs and pistons. Spring preload can be adjusted using shims.
The high-performance TRX 3.3 Nitro Slash engine draws air through a large air filter. The two-stage design traps large particles on the outside and, thanks to the fine inner section, air flows into the engine without impurities. The larger diameter foam elements allow for freer airflow and greater engine power.
The tank has a capacity of 150cc. The pull handle makes it easy to open the tank for quick filling. The tank is specially designed to maintain a consistent fuel flow no matter how demanding the riding conditions. The lowered tank sump keeps the fuel collector submerged and baffles prevent fuel from splashing.
The compact battery box contains a cartridge for 4 AA batteries that power the receiver and servos. The box has an on/off switch for convenient switching on. The receiver is placed in a closed box to protect it from dirt.
Optionally, a rechargeable NiMH battery can be used instead of AA batteries.
The Magnum 281™ transmission is a single-speed, all-metal upper gear, intermediate gear, and precision ball bearings for smooth operation and long life. The transmission features an adjustable friction clutch to protect the drivetrain from damage.
The Traxxas planetary gear differential features a nylon housing for long life. It uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength in tough off-road driving. This type of differential requires virtually no maintenance and its efficient design puts maximum torque at the wheels.
Traxxas U-joint telescopic drive shafts allow for maximum suspension travel. The solid material and design contribute to the shafts' high durability.
The length and shape of the exhaust pipes are specifically dynamically tuned for the engine to deliver maximum power across the widest rev range. This means you can hit the gas hard at any speed and get a good dose of acceleration.
Robust steel links allow for individual axle adjustment. Robust ball joints with connecting rods provide unmatched durability and hold firmly in place.
The car is equipped with a TRX 3.3 internal combustion engine with a capacity of 3.3 cm3. The engine is equipped with a two-needle carburetor and a double air filter for easy adjustment. The blue anodized PowerTune™ cooling head effectively cools the engine. The proven IPS crankshaft was used for power transmission.
The recommended nitromethane content in fuel is from 10 to 35%. For normal operation, fuel with 16% nitromethane is recommended, which ensures easy adjustment and long engine life.
The revolutionary Traxxas EZ-Start internal combustion engine starter means the end of laborious pulling of the starter cord, charging of glow plugs, etc. The EZ-Start starter consists of an electric motor that spins the crankshaft of the internal combustion engine via a gearbox and a one-way bearing. The leads from the engine and glow plugs are routed to a connector that connects to the external Traxxas EZ-Start unit. The external EZ-Start unit consists of a NiMH battery and a stabilized source for powering the glow plug. Starting is simple and perfectly functional - with one button. Protection against engine overload and indication of a faulty glow plug are a matter of course.
The model is equipped with two digital servos. One for throttle/brake and one for steering. Servo 2055 have plastic gears, torque 6.2 kg.cm and speed 0.20 s/60° at 6.0 V.

The Traxxas Link App is a powerful application that gives you complete control over the operation and tuning of your Traxxas RC model with stunning visualization and absolute accuracy of settings. Traxxas Link can display telemetry data that the model provides in real time, such as speed, rpm, temperature, battery voltage and model roll. (Telemetry provided varies by specific model type). You can share settings of RC models, you can create any number of profiles for a specific track or user, e.g. children. All in the app with the brilliant graphics that come naturally from Traxxas.

The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stability system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speed, but also guarantees much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.
The receiver contains a MEMS 3-axis gyro and an accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model 100 times per second and corrects the direction of the model by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit the engine power - you have 100% control over the engine power. The algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter or in the Traxxas Link application.

To operate the model, you need 4x AA batteries for the transmitter, 4x AA batteries for powering the receiver, oil for the air filter, oil for preserving the engine, fuel.
The package includes a NiMH battery and a charger for the electric starter. This charger is DC 12V with a car plug. To power the charger from the 230V network, it is necessary to purchase a Traxxas mains power supply.
Due to the faster discharge of pencil batteries in the model, we recommend powering the receiver with a Traxxas NiMH RX 1200mAh 6.0V cube battery. To use the accumulator, it is necessary to remove the battery cartridge and solder the servo connector to the cables to connect the accumulator. You can charge this NiMH battery with the included charger, you only need to purchase a Tamiya female - RX female reduction cable.
After running in, the Nitor Traxxas internal combustion engine can be run on fuel with a nitromethane content of 10% to 33%. For normal driving, we recommend fuel with a 15% nitromethane content, which means easier engine adjustment and less engine wear. However, it is always necessary to apply after-run oil to the engine after the daily driving, which will protect the metal parts of the engine from corrosion caused by nitromethane residues, and to regularly apply oil to the air filter.
By adding a Bluetooth module to the transmitter, you get the function of wireless connection of the RC model with the Traxxas Link application, which you can install on your phone for free. We recommend a phone holder for attaching the phone to the transmitter.

For normal operation of your Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, quality tire glue, silicone shock absorber oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable car tool set from our range.
Screw glue is applied to the thread or head of the screw, which fixes it and prevents the vibrations caused by driving from loosening the screw connection. Screw glue has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an appropriate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary superglue, a screw glued in this way may be impossible to loosen at all!
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. For these cases, the so-called repair kits. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
