Tamiya 58762 Clod Buster (2026)

This remote-controlled model kit lets you build the Clod Buster, which draws inspiration from American monster trucks

and features huge tires and a raised body on a specially designed chassis. The realistic body is made of durable styrene plastic and can be painted with plastic paints, while the front and rear bumpers, front grille and compressor on the hood are metal-plated. The solid axles with front and rear arm suspension are equipped with 2 spring-loaded friction dampers on each wheel; this model supports a total of 8 dampers for demanding conditions. The huge semi-pneumatic tires with a diameter of 165 mm and a width of 110 mm, combined with a ground clearance of 55 mm, provide excellent off-road capabilities. The four-wheel steering (4WS) system ensures excellent maneuverability and a smaller turning radius for this large-format RC model.

 

4WD & 4WS Chassis

The “bathtub” frame with durable rigid arm suspension features a robust construction, where the arms are attached to the side arms and axle struts, and two friction shock absorbers per wheel. The axle housings have integrated sealed gearboxes with motors for the front and rear axles. Power is transmitted efficiently through gears and differentials ensure smooth cornering, allowing the big Clod Buster to move quickly. In addition, the 4WS system steers the front and rear wheels in opposite directions - using a single steering servo - to ensure a smaller turning radius. The kit includes a dual motor speed controller

Tamiya TEU-201BK, which allows smooth control of this RC model with two motors.
