In the sleepy town of Arkham, Massachusetts, a small group of intrepid investigators try to uncover the essence of a sinister threat threatening humanity. But beware! Countless horrors lurk in the mysterious realms. Investigators must be careful, as nothing less than their fragile sanity is at stake.
Arkham Horror: The Card Game is a cooperative Living Card Game® (LCG®) in which one to four investigators work together to uncover mysterious mysteries and conspiracies. At the same time, they have to deal with personal demons that have been haunting them for a long time.
Each player takes on the role of one investigator and builds their own deck around their abilities. Several interconnected scenarios form a story campaign, within which a deeper mystery is revealed.
In each such scenario, the investigators traverse and explore various menacing locations, searching for clues that allow them to advance in the story and try to defeat or avoid the treacherous forces of the Mythos. As part of the campaign, individual investigators begin to understand and gain experience that allows them to improve. This is how they get powerful cards of higher levels in their decks. But beware: The more you penetrate into the mysterious world, the greater the risk of insanity. The investigators must protect themselves from an ever-shrinking loop of insanity. Their quest is to survive and solve the mystery.
