The royal realm is in ruins and dark times are upon us. However, one of the royal traditions persists. The guards from the fortresses and castles are still tirelessly going out to fulfill their tasks. They watch over the inhabitants of the former kingdom, combing the wilderness, uniting communities, fighting monsters and searching for royal treasures as hope dies last. Now comes your time. Join the ranks of these brave Rangers. Oltree!

In this co-op game, players become brave Guardians who help the people of the satrapy (administrative unit of the empire) as it is their mission. Above all, they must restore the fortress to ensure peace and tranquility for its inhabitants.
At the beginning of the game, the Guardians are given a task that consists of several objectives. Accomplishing them will greatly advance them towards winning the game.
This task would have been relatively easy to accomplish if the Rangers had not had other events interfere with it. The story driven by the so-called Chronicle will put the Guardians in front of many situations that they will have to deal with.
Along the way to victory, the Guardians will face encounters during which they can build their renown (or not). They will also have to help the inhabitants of the satrapy to get out of various difficulties and will face many unexpected events.
If they have the strength left to build reputation and fortify the fortress, they will make it to the last chapter of the Chronicle and conclude the story. Whether it will have a happy ending depends a lot on the successful completion of the task and the state of their abilities.

- Expand your fortress with buildings that improve your abilities and build defensive towers.
- Many situations will put you in front of various military or travel tests. These exams are evaluated with occupation dice.
- Go out into the surroundings and undergo encounters that fate itself has sent your way. If you are not fast enough, they will suffer
your fame
- Ask villagers for help and raw materials. They will come in handy.
