GYA460 is a 6-axis stabilization system (integrated 3-axis MEMS gyro + 3-axis accelerometer) for stabilizing aircraft models powered by an electric motor in 3 axes (not suitable for models with internal combustion engine). It offers the possibility of switching 3 operating modes with the help of a transmitter. Its use requires only minimal setup and is equipped with an S.BUS input port; supports ailerons controlled by a pair of servos and is equipped with a mix for self-wings. Gyro activity is indicated by an LED indicator.
Three operating modes (switched via another channel of the RC kit with a three-position switch: signal -100% ~ -50% Starter mode, -30% ~ + 30% gyro off, + 50% ~ + 100% GYRO mode)
- Beginner mode - This mode is suitable for basic piloting training for beginners. The control of the model is influenced by a gyroscopic sensor and an accelerometer. The maximum tilt of the model in the individual axes is limited to approx. ± 80 °. If the controls on the transmitter (except for the throttle) are returned to neutral, the model will automatically return to the horizontal position. The maximum tilt angle is tied to the double deflections on the transmitter. E.g. if the double deflections are set to 50%, the maximum heeling angle will be halved so that it is only ± 40 °.
- GYRO mode - This mode is suitable for acrobatics and flying on your back. The model is controlled only by a gyroscopic sensor. Maximum tilt restrictions and automatic leveling do not apply.
- Gyro off - Stabilization is off, only you control the model.
Gain adjustment trimmers / Gyro response sense
The three trimmers allow you to independently set the gain value for the aileron, elevator and rudder axes; by whether the gain is set in the upper or lower half of the trimmer rotation range, the sense of the gyro response is given.
Setting button
Allows basic gyro setup - choose installation direction / orientation GYA460, normal model or mix for self-wing. < / p>
Connection to the receiver
The gyro can be connected to a classic receiver with PWM channel outputs for individual servos (aileron, elevator and rudder channels + operating mode switching channel) or to the S.BUS serial output of the receiver - in that case a single cable is enough.
Compatible servos
Gyro can work with analog and digital servos (for 4.8 V and HV power supply up to 8.4 V). The servo type is selected using the trimmer to set the deviation limit.
The gyro set contains: gyro GYA460, double-sided foam adhesive tape for fixing the gyro, connecting cables, miniature screwdriver, operating instructions.
