Modular chassis

The completely new modular chassis can be easily disassembled into parts with just a screwdriver. Within a minute you have access to all important components, model settings and service maintenance. Solid, reinforced bumpers protect the model from impacts, while they are designed to maintain high approach angles.

New LCG chassis

The new chassis has a special design, where the drive battery and motor of the RC model is stored lower on the chassis. The rigidity of the chassis is ensured by the proven spatial construction, which is light and strong at the same time. The chassis is made of high-quality nylon filled with carbon fibers. The low center of gravity gives the car excellent driving characteristics.

4x4 drive

The Slash 4X4 Ultimate uses an ingenious power transmission system from the engine to the wheels. The tremendous power of the AC motor is transmitted via a friction clutch to the aluminum central shaft and further to the differentials with metal, hardened gears. All components, including reinforced half-axles, are made of quality materials to ensure maximum rigidity and low weight.

GTR aluminum shock absorbers

The GTR oil-filled aluminum/teflon shock absorbers feature an exclusive X-Ring to reduce friction with excellent resistance to oil leakage. The preload of the springs can be adjusted simply with a nut, and the stiffness can be adjusted by changing the viscosity of the oil.

Transverse torsion stabilizers

Functional anti-roll bars reduce chassis stress and increase cornering speed on hard surfaces. The thicknesses of the stabilizers are precisely tuned.

Servo steering

The digital Traxxas servo 2075R high-speed waterproof with DC motor and nylon gears has a torque of 9.0 kg.cm 6.0 V. For water resistance*, the servo box and the output 1000-hedge are fitted with seals. Two ball bearings provide very smooth operation.

Powerful AC motor

The Velineon 550 AC motor is precisely tuned for use in 1:10 RC cars. It provides car models with the perfect balance between performance and optimal efficiency. Another advantage is the long service life, which is determined only by ball bearings. The bearings can be purchased as part of the service kit under order number TRA3352R.

The motor is of the 550 series, has a 4-pole design, which provides up to twice the torque compared to the two-pole version. The rotor is dynamically balanced and wrapped with Kevlar fabric to increase strength.

Electronic controller VXL-3S

Waterproof* electronic Traxxas alternating current controller Velineon VXL-3S V2 with three driving modes, support for modern high-capacity LiPo batteries and easy control with the EZ-Set™ button. The VXL-3S controller is equipped with a training mode that limits full throttle to 50%. Thanks to this, novice drivers or children can gradually familiarize themselves with the features of the model and prepare for the full power of the car. Thermal protection, gold-plated connectors, simple operation and intuitive signaling with a two-color LED diode.

VXL-3S controller modes

• Sport : Default mode, forward, braking and reverse are possible.
  
• Race : Mode suitable for racing. Forward and brake is possible; reverse is not available.
  
• Training : Mode suitable for children or novice riders. It is possible to drive forward with a power limitation of 50%, brake and drive backwards again with a power limitation of 50%.
  

The cooler of the regulator can be supplemented with an optional fan (not included in the package).

Traxxas TQi receiver

RC receiver Traxxas TQi 5 channel. TSM with telemetry for Traxxas TQi transmitters. Simple operation, pairing with a button. LED status indication. 3-axis MEMS sensors are integrated in the receiver for learning the position of the receiver.

The 5-channel receiver is also equipped with two connectors for connecting telemetry sensors RPM (revolutions) and V/T (voltage / temperature).

Furthermore, a telemetry extension module can be connected to the 4-pin connector, into which you can connect up to 6 more sensors, including a very accurate GPS speed sensor.

Traxxas TQi RC kit with Bluetooth ready

Traxxas has prepared for you a completely new series of two-channel RC kits with Bluetooth connectivity. The Bluetooth module (included in the package) will allow you to connect the RC model with the clear graphic application Traxxas Link, which you can install for free on your smartphone.

The Traxxas Link app for Apple devices is available for free on the AppStore , the app for Google Android devices is free on GooglePlay .

BT module and telemetry

The Slash 4X4 Ultimate is already equipped with a Bluetooth module and telemetry as standard. Telemetry data, including all settings, can be done conveniently via the Traxxas Link application. You can download the application for free on Google Play or the App Store.

Traxxas Stability Management

The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stability system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speed, but also guarantees much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.

The receiver has a MEMS 3-axis gyro and an accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model on the order of 100 times per second and corrects the model's direction of travel by appropriate interventions in the steering of the front wheels. Traxxas TSM does not limit engine power - you have 100% control over engine power. Algorithms are tuned for each model separately. The level of assistance is set using the multi-function controller on the transmitter or possibly in the Traxxas Link application.

Recommended NiMH batteries:

NiMH batteries do not require precise handling and are therefore suitable if the RC model car is operated by children (NiMH batteries are not destroyed by complete discharge). However, NiMH batteries do not provide such performance.

For high load model, driving in extreme terrain or jumps in skateparks, you can install the Extreme Heavy Duty suspension kit. Carrying bag and backpack

Carry the RC model comfortably and safely in a Traxxas sports bag or backpack. In addition to the main large pocket for the model, there are specially designed side pockets for batteries, charger, tools, etc.

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need bolt glue, good quality tire glue, silicone shock oil and a set of screwdrivers. We recommend an affordable set of tools for cars from our range.

The thread or head of the screw is dripped with screw glue, which fixes it and the vibrations caused by driving will not allow the screw connection to loosen. The screw adhesive has a special composition that allows the screw connection to be easily loosened with an adequate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary instant glue, it might be impossible to loosen a screw stuck like this!

Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the disc rim. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly stuck to the wheel rim all the way around! If the tire is not glued all the way around, it may tear. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, after hardening, the glue is flexible. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!

Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the dampers of the model. During normal operation, there are only slight leaks of silicone oil on the piston rods of the shock absorber. In the event that the surface of the damper pistons or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leakage may be large. For these cases, so-called repair kits are supplied. In the range of tuning parts, piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating are delivered to all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN surface are easily recognized by their golden-green color.
