The Slash 4x4 VX3 RC car model with the mock-up appearance of Short Course racing cars and a low center of gravity is built for the fastest stable ride and precise control in light and medium terrain. The new Slash is not only improved, it is completely rebuilt for an even higher level of performance, durability and user comfort. Thanks to the new AC drive with 2-3S LiPo power supply, the model can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. It can even handle this speed with the factory pinion, which is an increase of approximately 25% compared to the previous drive. The drive components have improved cooling and the regulator includes integrated telemetry support. The 4x4 drive and the TSM electronic stability of the ride contribute to excellent handling. The proven design of the Slash model has been maintained, including a modular chassis design, top-notch independent suspension geometry and drivetrain. Front and rear differentials complement the center differential for perfect power distribution between the axles. New GTR composite shock absorbers improve handling and facilitate adjustment. Durable bumpers protect the model in the event of an impact and provide an authentic racing model look. The chassis has a low center of gravity for stability. A new clipless body system with beaks in the wheel arches allows easy access to the model and battery replacement.
For children and beginners, it is advisable to initially operate the model with a 2S LiPo battery, which reduces the maximum speed to 56 km/h. The controller also offers three driving modes, including Training mode, in which the power is limited to 50%. This makes the Stampede a versatile model that you can initially use with lower power and gradually increase it as your driving experience grows. The control is provided by the new TQi Sport 2.4 GHz RC kit. Of course, there is also a wide range of tuning and complete spare parts.
The new VX3 brushless drive can convert the energy of a 3S LiPo battery into extreme acceleration and speed. The VX3 speed controller has modern electronics, active fan cooling, easy one-button adjustment and telemetry support. The powerful Velineon V3200 motor represents the ideal combination of high speed, power and efficiency. The fan and integrated cooling effectively keep the engine temperature low even during demanding driving.
New GTR composite shock absorbers absorb impacts and ensure maximum wheel contact with the surface. They hold over 70% more oil than standard Ultra Shocks, are sealed with X-rings, and spring preload can be conveniently adjusted with a nut on the shock body.
A unique body mounting system using claws in the wheel arches allows for quick and easy battery changes, and the model's clean look is not disturbed by clips. Robust latches hold the body firmly in place no matter how rough the ride. The body has an aerodynamic shape that increases downforce for high-speed stability.
The low-center-of-gravity chassis places the battery and electronics as low as possible, which increases stability and cornering speed. The chassis is flat and smooth from the bottom so that the model does not get stuck and in case of impact on the belly it will slip.
The factory-installed kit upgrades the exposed parts of the model for high durability. Individual parts are made of the most durable materials that Traxxas uses. Whether you're driving through challenging terrain or jumping on jumps, the kit is designed to last a long time.
The model chassis consists of a durable plastic tub, to which the front and rear axles abut. The controller with the motor and servo are on one side of the chassis, and the battery is on the other for ideal weight distribution. The low center of gravity maintains stability in turns even at high speeds.
The modular design connects the front and rear parts of the chassis with the center chassis into one solid platform. This advanced solution ideally distributes impact energy and at the same time allows easy service of the model. By loosening just 4 screws at the rear and 5 at the front, you have access to all important components, model settings and service maintenance in a minute.
The front wheel steering mechanism is implemented using the Dual-Bell-Crank system, which ensures precise operation of the linkages to the wheels and limits the bump steering effect. The steering has an integrated cam servo-saver that absorbs shocks and protects the servo against overload. For smoother operation, the slide inserts can be replaced with 5x8x2.5mm ball bearings (sold separately).
The innovative bed securely holds the battery in place with a latching partition. This makes battery replacement a matter of seconds and you don't have to loosen clips or straps.
Durable one-piece suspension links always maintain the correct geometry and do not require adjustment. If you want to fine-tune the driving characteristics according to your preferences, adjustable links are available, sold separately.
The tie rods and tie rod holders are reinforced with more material and have a stronger construction.
The suspension arms maintain the correct geometry throughout the entire range of motion. They are made of Traxxas' toughest composite material and provide the right amount of flexibility and durability even in cold weather.
The solid bumpers protect the model in the event of an impact. They are specially designed to absorb energy. The model appearance corresponds to the real tubular bumpers on the cars in Short Course races.
The model uses a number of patented solutions that reduce the risk of water entering the electronics, such as the servo box seal or the epoxy-encased controller electronics. This gives you the freedom to go for a ride regardless of the weather.
A solid motor mounting system with pre-drilled holes according to the gear ratio eliminates doubts about setting the correct inter-tooth clearance. The gears always fit together precisely for maximum efficiency and long service life.
The model's drivetrain is designed from the ground up to handle the high power of the AC motor. It uses gears with a 32DP gear module for reliable operation.
The one-piece center shaft is extra strong for transferring power between the front and rear axles, but flexible enough to withstand impact damage. A bearing-type support in the center ensures that the drive shaft rotates evenly even at high speeds.
The Slash is equipped with high-quality metal-geared differentials that are fully prepared for the power of the AC drive. Precision X-ring seals allow the differentials to be tuned for specific operating conditions by changing the viscosity of the oil.
The sealed center differential absorbs engine shocks and allows for tuning by changing the oil viscosity. It is factory-filled with thick oil, which reduces front axle lift during acceleration and ensures stable power transmission.
Maxx-Duty driveshafts with reinforced universal joints are designed for high engine performance. The 6 mm output shafts exit into hexagonal wheel carriers.
Large ball bearings are used throughout the drive system for smooth operation. The bearings are equipped with a plastic cover to keep dirt out. This solution extends the life and simplifies model maintenance.
Replacing the battery is now very easy thanks to the clipless body attachment using the claws in the wheel arches. To remove, simply press the claws and slide the body upwards. Installing it is even easier - you put the body down, press from above and the latches will engage by themselves.
Robust side NERF reinforcements protect the chassis in side impacts and provide support for the body.
Replicated Kumbo tires provide excellent off-road grip and precise slippage on firm surfaces. The foam-padded tires are glued to 2.2" double-spoke rims.
The model is steered by a Traxxas 2057 digital servo. The servo is equipped with two ball bearings on a milled shaft and metal gears for maximum durability. The servo design is waterproof*.
The model is powered by a powerful Velineon V3200 brushless motor. The newly designed motor features intake ports and an internal cooling fan on the shaft that drives air through the center of the motor, reducing temperature and maintaining consistent performance. In addition, the metal housing dissipates additional heat from the motor.
The waterproof* VX3 electronic brushless ESC features advanced electronics and the ability to power 2-3S LiPo (NiMH batteries are not supported). It retains the simplicity of one-button EZ-Set® programming and three driving modes, including Training Mode. For a more natural feel, braking is more linear, with greater motion resolution and precision. The ESC supports telemetry. A large aluminum heat sink dissipates heat. The electronics are encapsulated in epoxy and are waterproof*.
So that temperature protection does not slow you down even on summer days during long, demanding rides, the controller and motor are equipped with powerful cooling fans.
The Traxxas TQi Sport 2.4 GHz three-channel receiver ensures safe control without interruptions. Pairing is easy with one button. The status is indicated by an LED. The receiver has integrated 3-axis MEMS sensors for position and movement sensing.
The model is controlled by a two-channel proportional steering wheel transmitter Traxxas TQi Sport, operating in the 2.4 GHz band - interference-free operation. The transmitter is powered by only 4 AA batteries.
There is a rotary knob on the transmitter that trims the steering (so that the model drives straight when the steering wheel is in the center position). The battery status in the transmitter is indicated by an LED. With one button, you can set channel reverse, endpoints, TSM on/off and model type on the transmitter. It also includes:
The Traxxas Stability Management (TSM) stabilization system allows you to experience not only power, speed, acceleration and cornering at extreme speeds, but also guarantees much easier steering and control on slippery surfaces such as dust, smooth concrete or even ice and snow.
The receiver has a MEMS 3-axis gyro and accelerometer, which evaluates the movement of the model 100 times per second and uses appropriate interventions in the front wheel steering corrects the direction of travel of the model. Traxxas TSM does not limit engine power - you have 100% control over the engine power. Algorithms are tuned for each model separately. TSM can be turned on or off via the TQi Sport transmitter.

If you add the Traxxas TQi transmitter with Bluetooth module instead of the included transmitter, you will get a direct connection of the model with the Traxxas Link application on your phone. In the clear graphic application, you can then perform all model settings, updates, set profiles, share them, etc. This transmitter can serve as a universal transmitter for up to 30 Traxxas models, which it saves in memory.
Thanks to the fact that the controller is equipped with advanced electronics for measuring telemetry in real time, you can use this transmitter to display telemetry in the application. For normal operation of the Traxxas RC car, you need screw glue, high-quality tire glue, silicone oil for shock absorbers and a set of screwdrivers. From our range, we recommend an affordable set of car tools.
Screw glue is dripped onto the thread or head of the screw, which fixes it and prevents vibrations caused by driving from loosening the screw connection. Screw glue has a special composition that allows easy loosening of the screw connection with an appropriate torque without damaging the screw head. Never use ordinary superglue, a screw glued in this way could be impossible to loosen at all!
Tire glue is used to glue the tires to the rim of the disk. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon, and at the same time, the glue is flexible after hardening. Never use ordinary instant glue - it is not flexible after hardening and cracks would gradually form in the tire around the rims!
Sometimes it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is in poor condition, the oil leak can be large. So-called repair kits are supplied for these cases. The tuning parts offer includes piston rods with an extremely hard TiN (titanium nitride) coating for all shock absorbers. Piston rods with a TiN coating are easily recognizable by their golden-green color.
