On the decks of aircraft carriers from the US Navy land-based marines Skyraiders served "drop of blood" during the Korean and Vietnam war - in fact, until the advent of jet fighter version of the Corsair II and multipurpose Intruder during the 60s as they were not US Navy compensation.
