Vought F-4U Corsair was the most powerful American airborne fighter aircraft of World War II. After solving the initial problems (too stiff suspension and poor visibility complicate landing on aircraft carriers) along with Grumman Hellcat care of wiping out the Japanese Air Force in the sky over the Pacific.
