Large brushless motor

The Sonicwake 36” V3 Self-Righting Deep-V boat model is equipped with a 74x40mm Spektrum Firma 1350KV Marine brushless water-cooled 4-pole motor! With an 8S LiPo power supply, you can experience lightning-fast acceleration and a maximum speed of up to 96 km/h.

Extreme electronics performance

Speed RC boats are in terms of demand the most demanding on the electronics load. For reliable operation and switching of large currents, a Spektrum Smart 160A Marine regulator is installed, which is water-cooled and equipped with IC5 connectors for connecting two 3S or 4S LiPo batteries. The connectors are firmly seated in the holders for convenient battery connection.

Automatic turning back when capsizing

It's incredibly easy, just wait a few seconds and the boat will turn back itself after tipping over. This work is done by the ballast tank, which gradually fills with water and turns the boat back. When driving, the tank empties quickly and the boat can continue fully again.

Reliable steering

At the stern there is a larger aluminum rudder with double cooling, an adjustable gondola with a propeller, two stabilizers and a total of four trim tabs. Using the trim tabs, you can adjust stability, increase downforce on the stern, lower the bow, etc. From the factory, the tabs are set to the optimal compromise for speed and stability, given the weight of the recommended batteries.

Installing SSL batteries

The practical SSL battery mounting system (Strap, Slide, Lock) allows for convenient installation of batteries outside the hull of the boat, without the need to manipulate in a confined space. You simply attach the batteries to the holder using Velcro straps, then slide the entire holder into the hull.

Replaceable bow

The bow of the boat is designed as a separate replaceable part, which can be easily replaced in case of damage without having to replace the entire hull. The bow is attached to the hull with four screws, so its disassembly and assembly is quick and easy. Thanks to the replaceable bow, any collisions are less costly and difficult to service.

Rudder protection

One of the most common ways to damage an RC boat is to hit the rudder against an obstacle hidden below the surface. That's why the Sonicwake V3 uses a rudder protection system that flips up upon impact. To repair it, simply fold it down and tighten the screws if necessary.

Dual cooling system

Maintaining the electronics at normal operating temperature is a priority, which is why the Sonicwake V3 is equipped with two water cooling circuits for the controller and the motor. Water is sucked in through the holes in the rudder, cools the controller and motor, then sprayed through the discharge nozzles on the top of the stern so that you can easily check while driving that the cooling is working and is not clogged, for example.

Waterproof receiver box

Even if the model is well sealed, a little water always gets into the hull during rough driving, you can simply pour it out through the drain plug. For this reason, the controller electronics are cast in epoxy, the servo has sealing rings and the most exposed receiver is enclosed in a waterproof box.

Sealed hull cover

The hull cover is equipped with quick-release knurled head screws that allow easy access to the interior of the boat without the use of tools. To secure or release the cover, just turn it a quarter turn. The improved rubber seal around the entire perimeter of the opening effectively prevents water from entering the hull, even if the boat capsizes on the surface.

Grease Catcher Box

Regular lubrication of the flexible ship shaft is the most important thing for reliable operation and long life of the model. To prevent excess lubricant from splashing into the hull of the boat, the end of the shaft is enclosed in a box with a magnetic cover.

Adjustable propeller

The inclination of the propeller nacelle can be adjusted for better maneuverability or higher speed. A screw is included for easy lubrication of the shaft in the gondola (however, this lubrication does not replace the need for general lubrication of the shaft before driving).

Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz RC kit

The Spektrum SLT3 2.4GHz 3-channel steering transmitter ensures reliable steering without failures. Thanks to the SR315 receiver with dual SLT and DSMR protocols, you can also control the model with universal Spektrum transmitters - such as DX5, DXC+, DX Pro+, iXSR+.

Recommended LiPo batteries

To power the RC model ship, we recommend using only a high-quality and well-dimensioned pair of identical LiPo batteries (100C+) with 4 cells in a Hard Case.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. G2 batteries also have up to 3x faster automatic discharge to storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged with Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

Accessories for normal boat operation

For normal operation of an RC boat model, you need a special grease for lubricating ship shafts. The special composition ensures smooth operation of the shaft in the tube while maintaining maximum component life. We recommend Marine grease, or Marine grease with a grease nipple.

Universal transmitter with display

For operating the model, we recommend the Spektrum DXC+ or DX+ Rugged universal transmitter as tuning, which has the following advantages over the included set transmitter:

Protective battery cases

Protective cases are designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity while maintaining small dimensions and low weight. LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore need to be thoroughly protected.
