The Audi RS5 DTM had its racing debut in the Hockenheimring DTM bike on May 5, 2013. On March 4, 2014, the RS5 DTM was redesigned and launched during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. During development, the vehicle was codenamed "RC3". Hockenheimring in 2018 and after the seasonal testing of the Jerez Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, the Audi RS5 DTM was permanently withdrawn from the competition and was replaced by the newly supercharged Audi RS5 Turbo DTM from the 2019 season .
