Characteristics
The Estes Destination Mars Leaper Kit is a rocket model of a personal maneuvering unit developed for the mission to Mars. You can shoot a light model from EPP up to a height of 23 meters, using an A-series rocket engine. Easy assembly.
Estes Destination Mars Leaper Kit
The Estes Destination Mars Leaper Kit is a replica of a low-gravity personal maneuvering unit, or LAMPMU. The model is an exciting new addition to the Mars collection. The unit is made of lightweight and durable polystyrene (EPP). Preparing to start takes only a few minutes. Due to the very low weight, the model is not equipped with a return system. Thanks to its small dimensions and achievable flight altitude, the model is also suitable for flying in a smaller open area without obstacles.
The unit was developed for a mission to Mars in 2035. The unit was named "Leaper", because the test pilot after the first test said "Why walk when you can jump". The unit is intended for fast travel between bases on Mars.
Difficulty of building a rocket
The model is practically ready for flight, just attach the stabilizer bars and insert the engine.
For information on building and launching, see How to Operate Missile Models.

Engine igniters and seals are included in the engine package, unless otherwise stated. Estes engines are equipped with electric igniters, designed to be ignited via the launcher. The rocket can be fitted with Klima engines with conventional fuses or electric igniters. More information on rocket engines can be found in the rocket engine overview.
Sweep seal
