The Russian 20-gun brig Merkur was laid to rest at Sevastopol on 28 January 1819. It was used as a patrol ship on the coast of the North Caucasus.
Mercury was used in many naval battles and famous under the leadership of Lieutenant A. Kazarsky, who came out victorious in the fight against Anatolia against much larger Turkish ships.
Here it was beneficial that the Merkur was equipped with articulated guns and could thus provide significantly more targeted shots, which even led to the uncovering of one of the Turkish ships. The construction is very carefully done like all other models in the Victory Models series.
All wooden parts are laser cut, brass etched parts and decorations, special etched copper sheets for plating, double paneling and poles for the mast.
The guide contains 17 large construction plans and over 40 pages of instructions. The lower and upper decks are laser engraved with the original layout of the planks. There is also a faithful set of flags and a base plate with a ship's stand.
