Characteristics
The RC model of the Blade InFusion 120 BNF Basic AS3X SAFE helicopter is a new concept, based on the direct motor drive of the rotor, without gears. Spektrum™ Smart Technology control unit with telemetry, SAFE technology for stable flight. You will refill your Spektrum transmitter and LiPol 2S 280-300mAh battery.
The Spektrum™ Smart controller with the latest flight control algorithm provides both stable flight and highly maneuverable aerobatic flight capabilities. Thanks to the well-sized power system with direct drive AC motor 2305 - 1300Kv , no gears drive the main rotor, which reduces the number of mechanical parts and the loss of power through the gears. The InFusion 120 is suitable for intermediate to experienced helicopter pilots looking for a high performance model for small spaces and the ability to practice aerobatics virtually anywhere. With the BNF® Basic version, you are guaranteed convenience in preparation, as all you have to do is add your own 2S 280-300mAh LiPol battery (SPMX3002S30 recommended), connect it to a compatible 6+ channel Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 transmitter.
Properties
- Ready to pair with a compatible 6+ channel Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 transmitter
- Alternating main and tail motors provide instant gearless power
- AS3X technology eliminates the effects of wind for a smooth flight performance
- Optional SAFE technology with automatic self-levelling - flight stabilization
- Progressive flight modes allow you to gradually increase your flying skill
- Panic Recovery restores the helicopter to a level position with the push of a button
- Spektrum technology with telemetry for compatible Spektrum transmitters
- Long stroke linear servos with fast and accurate response
- ABS light but durable frame of the model for high impact resistance
- Excellent visibility thanks to the vivid colors of the cabin and the white chassis make orientation easier
SAFE® technology
The Blade InFusion 120 helicopter is equipped with exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope®) technology, a revolutionary electronic flight envelope protection system that makes flying helicopters easier by providing versatile support for flight modes, as well as a Panic Recovery function that automatically returns model into a horizontal hanging position.
Direct rotor drive
The InFusion 120 features a direct AC motor main rotor drive system that allows for immediate power transfer with fewer parts and easier maintenance compared to a conventional gear driven main rotor. The motor shaft itself is made of hardened steel and is almost indestructible.
Spektrum™ technology
The installed 2-in-1 control unit includes a Spektrum™ 2.4 GHz DSMX® compatible receiver, main and tail motor controller, mixers with loop control. Pilots can also take advantage of battery voltage telemetry with compatible Spektrum transmitters. Rely on top-of-the-line Spektrum technology to provide precise control that's ideal for whatever environment you're flying in.
Paddleless mechanics
Fully electronic control of the model ensures both stability with a paddleless rotor head, aerobatic capabilities and safety-efficient control using flight modes. Maintenance is facilitated by a lower number of parts and lower costs when repairs are necessary.
Mini size
The InFusion 120 is slightly larger than a micro-sized machine, making it great for outdoor flying in light winds, yet still small enough to be flown in a variety of indoor spaces.
High resistance
The lightweight airframe of the helicopter model is made of materials that include durable polymers and carbon fiber components that provide the model with mechanical resistance while absorbing the effects of typical crashes and falls.
SAFE flight modes for pilot training
Thanks to the innovative SAFE® technology, the Blade InFusion 120 RC helicopter is an excellent model for more experienced and advanced pilots. Choose your level of instruction with three progressive flight modes. The flight mode is selected by the switch on the transmitter (channel 5).
- Stability Z mode limits the bank angle and automatically levels the helicopter into a hover when the levers are moved to neutral. Thanks to the active height sensor, the model is not very sensitive to the movement of the throttle, so controlling the helicopter is very easy - it resembles coaxial helicopters. The Panic button returns the helicopter to a level position.
- Stability mode has similar flight characteristics, only it is disabled to control the rate of climb and descent (so the model does not hold height, it is sensitive to the throttle controller). The Panic button can be used. If you return the levers to neutral, the model will level itself to a stable horizontal position.
- The 3D mode is intended for pilots with experience, the model no longer returns to its original position, it has no restriction on the tilt angle. The Panic button returns the helicopter to a horizontal position, either a standard horizontal position or an inverted (undercarriage up) position, whichever is closer. The throttle is controlled cyclically, the revolutions of the main engine are constant. Reactions are fast, needed for acrobatics.
Panic function to return to a stable flight position
The Panic function is available in all flight modes. With a single press of a button, the helicopter will automatically hover regardless of the model's previous position.
We recommend to buy
You will need at least a 6-channel Spektrum DSMX/DSM2 (DXG2. NX or iX) RC transmitter to get it up and running. You also need a 7.4 V 250 - 300 mAh LiPol battery with a JST-PH connector (Spektrum LiPo 7.4V 300mAh 30C JST-PH) and a corresponding charger or charging cable. You need micro tools to service the helicopter.
Recommended chargers
As a charger, the E-flite Lipo Celectra 2S 7.4V DC charger, which is directly equipped with a JST-PH connector, is sufficient. If you want to charge the battery with a regular charger, we recommend using the E-flite charging cable with JST-PH / JST-XH bananas.
Blade maintenance accessories
For the normal operation of flying RC helicopter models, you need a suitable set of tools and a LiPol battery storage case. From our assortment, we recommend a quality set of 1.5/2.0/2.5/3.0mm allen screwdrivers and Modelcraft Phillips screwdrivers (set of 6). Modelcraft mini pliers in a case (set) will surely come in handy for assembly.
Quick fix adhesives
For quick repair of z helicopter models, we recommend fast curing second adhesives. From our offer, we recommend Robitronic instant glue medium 20ml or Roket Cyano Gel gel instant glue 20ml.
Preparations for securing screws
To secure the screws against loosening, we recommend Robitronic screw glue blue 10ml.
Gear lubrication preparations
For gentle gear lubrication, we recommend the Modelcraft precision oiler with Teflon oil 7.5ml.
Protection of electronics
NANOPROTECH ELECTRIC 150ml can be recommended for gentle gear lubrication.
Protective covers for accumulators
Protective packaging is intended to limit the risk associated with the transport and charging of accumulators. LiPo accumulators, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity. The LiPo battery is particularly susceptible to mechanical damage and therefore needs to be thoroughly protected.
