Kit of a non-floating model of the historic sailing ship MAMOLI Puritan from 1885, scale 1:50. This sloop was designed by Edward Burgess. In 1885, under the command of Captain Aubrey Crocker, she defended the American Cup against the English cutter Ginest. The package includes wooden parts, moldings, fittings, rigging, plans, etc.
Puritan was a fast sailboat with a length of about 30m, a sliding keel, which is typical of American ships of this class. The 1:50 scale allows you to create every detail according to the actual ship. According to the manufacturer, the model can be built both statically and floating, but with appropriate measures for the watertightness of the hull. However, the building documents do not comment on this eventuality.
Mamoli kits for the construction of static models of ships have been very popular for many years. There is a large selection of various models and classic design elements at an attractive price. Today, all kits are manufactured using modern laser technology, which ensures high precision in the production of individual components. Double hull plating is standard. Many building components are made of metal castings or wood, with construction instructions and detailed construction plans available. The components for the stand are complemented by the complete equipment of the set.
