You only have 1 card in your hand in this game. Each card has a number and a special action on it, and at the end of the round, whoever holds the card with the highest number wins!
On your turn, you draw a new card and compare it to the card you already have. You will probably want to keep the higher numbered card and play the lower numbered card. After playing a card, you must perform a special action that is written on the card.
Some cards allow you to knock out a player in such a way that they don't even make it to the end of the round. Some will allow you to steal another player's card, and some will protect yours when another player tries to do one of these things to you. You'll have to decide which card to keep, which card to play, and ultimately how to get to the end of the round with the card that beats everyone else.
It will be a ride anyway! In the game, you can look forward to, for example, the Cruel-Rabbit, the Cuddly, the Hypnohorrible and other darlings who have their own special abilities to influence the game.
