However, instead of capitulating, Prussia underwent a profound military reform. A new generation of officers, innovative training methods and army reorganization meant that the Prussians were back in the game. In 1813, they played an important role at Leipzig and, together with Wellington, decided the fate of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
