The Estes Journey model is a rocket engine of the A and B series. This designation is supposed to evoke the way of a real rocket into space. The model will not reach the space, but will still reach a height of 335m! . The safe return is then secured on a 30.5 cm parachute
Difficulty of building an E2X rocket
There is no need to paint the rocket model and no special tools are needed to build it. All parts are painted and ready for assembly. It is necessary to stick the racket, stick the prints and it is ready to fly. It takes about one hour to build a rocket.
For information on rocket preparation and launch, see the article.
Launching ramp
The launch pad provides rocket support when lost. The ramp is easily disassembled without the use of gluing or special tools. The rocket itself is pushed onto the guide bar by means of the starting ear, which ensures a direct flight of the rocket at launch. Some types of ramps are adjustable in a range of 30 ° and can be fitted with a wider rod for larger types of missiles.
Launcher
The electric launcher driver is indispensable for safe launch of rocket models. Launching a rocket is accomplished by the electric current that ignites the engines. Just press the button on the console and you can watch the whole rocket start from a safe distance.
To power the panel you only need to buy 4 high quality 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. Use only alkaline batteries or rechargeable lithium or NiMH batteries to power the electronic launcher. Conventional zinc-chloride batteries are not able to deliver the required current to reliably ignite the electric starter!
