Characteristics

The Arrma Gorgon 1:10 Smart RTR remote control car is an affordable 2WD, DC-powered Monster Truck RC model. The Gorgon retains all the advantages of Arrma models such as durability, off-road capabilities and parts support. The 1:10 scale GORGON MT is the perfect model for children and novice car modelers.

Right out of the box, the Gorgon will catch your eye with its original appearance. The bodywork is factory finished in a very attractive modern style and is color-coordinated with the individual chassis parts such as the springs, battery compartment, skid plates and bumpers.
Proven ARRMA technology is built to last thanks to a composite chassis. Independent suspension, oil-filled shocks and adjustable ride height ensure a comfortable ride. For unstoppable traction, a 2WD transmission transfers power from the MEGA 550 DC motor to massive 130mm dBoots ® Chevron tires, glued to 57mm nylon rims. The metal gears used are durable enough for a possible upgrade to AC drive.

The Spektrum SLT transmitter provides safe, fail-safe operation and allows beginners to limit power to 75% or 50%. For carefree driving, the model uses waterproof* components - a Spektrum 2-in-1 25A ESC with receiver and a Spektrum S660 high-torque servo.

Everything you need to operate the model is included, including the Spektrum Smart NiMH battery pack, which is safe and easy to use and charge thanks to Smart technology. Simply connect it to the included Spektrum S120 USB-C charger and the innovative Smart technology will take care of all the charging settings.

Once you get better at driving, you can upgrade the model to get higher performance, for example by using a 2S LiPo battery or by completely upgrading to a brushless motor. (Components for higher performance are not included in the package).

Durable composite chassis

The composite chassis is built with ARRMA durability. The GORGON MT has a purpose-built design with a rigid narrow chassis, independent suspension and oil-filled shocks for smooth ride. A battery compartment on the underside of the chassis allows for battery replacement without having to remove the bodywork.

Wheels and tires

The massive dBoots Chevron MT front and rear tires, mounted on solid ARRMA nylon wheels, feature a deep tread pattern that provides unstoppable traction in all conditions. The tires are made of high-quality rubber for long-lasting durability.

Durable gearbox

The ARRMA GORGON MT gearbox transfers power from the MEGA 550 14T DC motor to the rear wheels. The gearbox is sized to withstand AC drive.

Electronics Spectrum

The Spektrum SLT 2-channel transmitter combines safe 2.4GHz control with Spektrum™ quality for reliability. The Spektrum 2-in-1 unit includes a 25A speed controller and receiver. The Spektrum S660 servo has high torque.

Spektrum Smart Battery and Charger

Spektrum Smart technology ensures simple and safe charging. Simply power the S120 USB-C charger with any USB adapter (not included) and connect the NiMH battery. The Smart electronics will automatically set the ideal charging parameters and start charging.

To power the included USB charger, we recommend using a powerful universal USB power adapter (18W).

Recommended batteries

To extend the driving time, we recommend purchasing an additional battery. For regular driving and for children, we recommend purchasing another identical battery, which is included in the package. For maximum driving time and greater acceleration, you can use modern LiPo batteries. If you use different types of batteries, it is always necessary to set the type of connected battery on the controller! The set USB charger can only charge Spektrum Smart batteries:

For maximum flight time and greater acceleration, use the Spektrum 7.4 V 5000 mAh LiPo battery with Smart technology, or the Spektrum G2 7.4 V 5000 mAh with Smart G2 technology.

Recommended NiMH batteries:

For regular riding, the Spektrum Smart NiMH 8.4V 3300mAh Hump IC3 battery with technology Smart .

Spektrum batteries with Smart technology represent the most modern and safest way to maintain and charge batteries today. Find out the benefits of Spektrum Smart technology here.

Smart G2 batteries are even simpler and safer, thanks to the absence of a balance connector. G2 batteries also have up to 3x faster automatic discharge to storage mode. Smart G2 batteries can only be charged with Spektrum Smart and Smart G2 chargers.

Recommended chargers

To shorten the charging time and be able to charge all types of batteries, including conventional (non-Smart), we recommend using universal chargers with a power of at least 50 W. (The included set charger can only charge SMART batteries).

Accessories for normal operation

For normal operation of RC models you need tire glue, screw glue, a tool kit and silicone oil for shock absorbers. We recommend an affordable tool kit for RC cars from our range.

Tire glue is used to glue tires to the rim of the disc. It is always necessary that the tire is firmly glued to the wheel rim around the entire circumference! If the tire is not glued around the entire circumference, it may burst. Tire glue has a special composition that is able to glue materials such as rubber or nylon and at the same time the glue is flexible after hardening. We recommend Robitronic Tire Glue from our offer - see recommended accessories.

Occasionally, it is necessary to add silicone oil to the model's shock absorbers and change the oil in the differentials. During normal operation, only slight silicone oil leaks occur along the shock absorber piston rods. If the surface of the shock absorber piston rods or the condition of the seals is poor, the oil leak can be large. Repair kits or individual parts are available for these cases. From our range of silicone oils, we recommend TLR (Team Losi Racing) silicone oils, see recommended accessories.

Screw glue is required for routine maintenance. Screws screwed into metal materials (e.g. screws in the motor, set screw in the pinion) must be secured against loosening with this glue.

Protective covers for batteries

Protective packaging is designed to reduce the risk associated with transporting and charging batteries. LiPo batteries, while maintaining small dimensions and low weight, can provide high discharge currents and have a large capacity for long driving times. On the other hand, LiPo batteries are particularly susceptible to mechanical damage.
