Original information:
The F-4 Phantom II, developed by US designer McDonnell Douglas, is a two-seat supersonic fighter bomber in all weathers. He entered the operational service in the 1960s and is one of the most famous aircraft of the history of military aviation. The original project was designed specifically for the US Navy, but was eventually used by all American units and achieved considerable commercial success worldwide. The F-4E version, specially designed for the US Air Force, has been fitted as a part of the M61 Vulcan cannon on the bow that could be complemented by AIM-9 Sidewinder and AIM-9 Sparrow air-to-air missiles. Thanks to its two powerful General Electric J-79 jet engines, the F-4E was able to achieve a maximum speed of 1240 knots. Speed, stroke and reliability were Phantom II's greatest strengths and were able to successfully balance even worse handling due to its large dimensions
