WAR ON FALKLANDS
Harrier is probably the most famous airplane with a perpendicular / short start and landing ability in military history. Designed and developed by British designer Hawker Siddeley in the 1960s. This machine was actively involved in military operations during the Falkland / Malvinas war in 1982. Specifically, Harrier Gr. 3 has introduced some new features such as laser targeting and integrated electronic systems, making it very effective in British Royal Air Force missions as close support as well as for ground targets. As a weapon, it had two 30mm cannons on the underside of the hull, and was also able to carry a considerable load of offensive weapons such as missiles, conventional bombs, and a laser-guided bomb. In addition, two disposable fuel tanks could be used to increase the operating range of this machine.
