Information about the original:

The Leopard 1 tank, which entered service in the mid-1960s, formed the backbone of the armored units of the Federal Republic of Germany and several NATO countries during the Cold War. Its combat role was extremely important as it served as the main deterrent against the overwhelming number of tanks that could be deployed by the armies of the Warsaw Pact. It was armed with a reliable 105mm L7 gun that could use different types of ammunition. The A5 version was a significant improvement by fitting a modified turret capable of accommodating new computer systems for target identification and fire control. Composite armor plates made of polycarbonate were also added, which significantly increased protection and resistance against enemy "hits".
