Original Information:
The M3 half-track armored personnel carrier was developed from a four-wheel reconnaissance car. During World War II, White Motor Company produced more than 41,000 machines. This version received an improved firing position for the M49 machine gun located above the right front seat. Between 1942 and 1943, all of the M3 half-tracks (standard models and A1 versions) went through continuous upgrades.
