Original information:
The Saab Viggen fighter has been the backbone of the Swedish Air Force for many years. The first AJ 37 Viggen was developed as a multipurpose combat aircraft capable of performing air defense tasks, land-based attacks and ship-to-ship missions. In order to increase the efficiency of the Swedish air defense system, the JA-37 "Jaktviggen" was later developed. She introduced a new avionics, a radar and a weapon system, which enabled her to perform her role as a capture fighter in every weather. In terms of its construction, Viggen's characteristic delta wing was complemented by a front duck aileron and, as a propulsion unit, had a large and powerful Volvo RM8 turbocharger engine with additional combustion. Thanks to him, he was able to reach a maximum speed of 2.1 Mach. Saab Viggen is gradually being replaced by the new and technologically advanced Saab JAS 39 Gripen.
