The training, reconnaissance and attack adaptation of the American Texan to the Australian Wirraway was very successful. The Wirraways were used for ongoing training and in combat areas for reconnaissance and attack actions and for searching and marking targets. They were produced in several series, differing in equipment and details.
The model includes two frames of plastic parts, injection molded clear parts and decals for two machines. The first flew in northern Australia, in full yellow livery, with a distinctive numerical marking on the fuselage. The other machine operated in New Guinea in all-green livery with white tail surfaces.
