AT-6C/D & SNJ-3/3C Texan 'Training to Win' 1/72
Founded in the 1930s, the North American company became famous for designing and manufacturing the P-51 Mustang fighter. But it was already the first product that made her famous. The single-engine training aircraft, designated NA-16 in the prototype, underwent gradual development until it became an all-metal aircraft with retractable landing gear. It was produced in many versions throughout the war and after it. It was known to the USAAF as the AT-6 Texan, the US Navy and Marines as the SNJ. It spread throughout the world during and after the war. It was produced for the Commonwealth under the designation Harvard Mk.I to IV. Its licensed production was also run in Canada by the Noorduyn company (Harvard Mk.IIB). Individual versions differed in armament, equipment and the shape of the cabin and its framing. Allied pilots from all over the world, including pilots from occupied Europe, learned to fly at the Texans/Harvards.
We added a new frame of clear parts and resin parts to the post-war model AT-6G, produced by Academy, so that other versions could be built from it.
- very attractive model of versions not produced yet
- interesting camouflages
- detailed resin parts included in the kit
