This model kit recreates the F-35 Lightning II, F-35B variant in our legendary 1/48 range of aircraft. Developed under the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, the F-35 integrates several functions into its design and there are three types: the F-35A conventional takeoff and landing (CTOL) aircraft, the F-35B short takeoff and vertical landing ( STOVL) and F-35C (CV) carrier takeoff and landing. The F-35B was developed as a successor to the AV-8B Harrier II. The F-35B is recognized as an aircraft capable of both supersonic flight and STOVL due to its 3-bearing engine thruster and lift fan, and after the F-35A, the F-35B deployment began in 2015. The first F-35B to see action was the aircraft belonging to of the US Marine Corps VMFA-211 "Wake Island Avengers" in Afghanistan in September 2018. Not only the US and Great Britain, but also Italy uses the F-35B. Japan's Air Self-Defense Force also plans to field a new fighter squadron with F-35Bs from 2024. Because the F-35B can be operated from both aircraft carriers and airfields with short runways, many countries are considering its deployment, and the F-35B looks set to become a significant presence in the skies around the world.

• The model can be built in one of the following three ways; Parked, Short Takeoff and
• Vertical landing.
• This kit can be built with a choice of three arsenal patterns – stealth mode, air-to-air mode and beast mode.
• The lift fan shown with an ergonomic distribution of parts is integrated into the nose landing gear compartment. The shape of the internal fan is realistically rendered.
• The variable blade under the lift fan can be displayed at different angles.
• Shorter fuselage gun bays compared to the F-35A are reshaped and have detailed cable routing.


Select parts according to the selected model type.
• Rotational angles of engine nozzles.
• Open or close the fuselage weapons bay doors and partially open the two interior weapons bay doors to intercept a vertical landing.
• Upper or lower leading edge, trailing edge of flaperons and horizontal stabilizers.
• Bow landing gear and main landing gear can be selected between loaded or unloaded, depending on the assembly type selected.
• Canopy open or closed.
• Access ladder extended or retracted.
• The engine nozzle is divided into five separate parts for details.
• Martin-Baker US16E firing seat shown in detail.
• Includes a stand that can be used when displaying a vertical landing.
• Comes with decals showing 7 marking options from a total of three countries (United States Marine Corps, Royal Air Force, Italian Air Force / Navy).
• Contains a variety of munitions: AIM-9X Sidewinder x2, AIM-120C AMRAAM x2, GBU-12 Paveway II x4, and GBU-32 JDAM x2 (which can be mounted in shorter weapon bays compared to the F-35A).
• Includes camouflage stickers for canopy and pilot figure.

The highly detailed model is made of light gray plastic. An easy-to-understand construction manual is included with the model. Use plastic model glue to glue the model. You can paint the model with plastic model paints. (glue and paints are not included)
