The Hawker Hurricane was the best British fighter aircraft at the time of the outbreak of World War II. It was powered by a V-12 RR-Merlin engine and armed with 4 x 20 mm Hispano cannons in the wings. Of the 4,711 Mk II Cs produced, 1,200 were delivered to the USSR as part of the Lend-Lease program.
