In the game Love Letter, 2-6 suitors of the princess compete against each other. They will try to deliver their letter to the princess, who is looking for the ideal partner with whom she could rule by her side.
Love Letter is played over rounds, during which you assign your allies, friends, and royal family members to deliver your letter to the princess. The card you are holding represents the person currently holding your letter. However, the messenger can change during the game as cards are played and drawn. You win a round by having the highest value card in your hand at the end of the round, or by being the last person standing.
You always start the game with one card in your hand. At the beginning of your turn, draw one card from the deck. Then choose one of your two cards, play it, and evaluate its effect. The effects of some cards can eliminate you from the game: a rival suitor has made sure that your letter gets lost along the way.
With this version of Love Letter, you can also play the "classic" Love Letter, which was designed for 2-4 players. At the beginning of the game, you only discard 5 cards from the deck, a list of which can be found in the game rules. Another difference from the "classic" version, in addition to the higher number of cards, is the presence of scoring tokens and a cloth bag for storing the game.
